Awash With Flowers Set

Well hello there! I thought I'd pop on tonight and share a set of cards I made last week- my hubby was in need of a little gift to give one of the ladies he works with who is retiring soon. I hope she likes them! There are 5 altogether and I think they turned out pretty cute! Here they are:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up! (except tulle)

Stamps: Awash with Flowers, Tiny Tags, Upsy Daisy
Ink: Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait, Perfect Plum, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Very Vanilla, Peach Parfait, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Blushing Bride cardstock; First Edition DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge punch, Jewelry Tag punch, basic pearls, linen thread, black tulle

So, I wanted the designs to be elegant yet whimsical and I hope I pulled that off! I had fun stamping out each flower and placing them on their panels. I learned with this set that the Awash with Flowers set works better with the Stampin' Markers then with the classic ink pads- you see every detail with the stamps and the markers make them look soft and smooth. I love the look! The one thing I wish I had in my stash was the Basic Black wide striped grosgrain ribbon... I think that would have really finished these off nicely! I made do with the tulle but I'm still imagining how those stripes would have popped off of the book print. :)

Hopefully this week I can make a cute little box to put these in and it'll be ready to send off to work with my hubby!

Thanks for popping in to look today!

Sponged Thank You Card

Good Morning!
Today I have another Thank You card to share- this one features the Just Believe set. I think this is the prettiest set out of the entire catalog... I just love it! Unfortunately, I always lose my mojo the minute it gets pulled out! So this time, I searched the Stampin' Up! galleries at Splitcoast for a little inspiration. What I found was this card by Amy that inspired me to make this:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Just Believe
Ink: Versamark; Poppy Parade, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black cardstock; First Edition DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge punch, Pear Pizazz seam binding, Black embossing powder

I loved how the image just popped using the black. I rarely use black but it is so elegant, don't you agree? Thanks Amy for the inspiration!

For the seam binding, I crinkled it up using just a bit of water in my hand and scrunching it for a second. It stays all crinkly like that when it's dry! So cool! It's another product that I'm hoping will be in the next SU! catty!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Blue Skies on a Cloudy Day...

I woke up to icky weather today... it's rainy and cold- no fun after a week of sunshine! At least it's the perfect weather to stay inside, drink tea, and stamp!

Since it's yucky outside, I thought I'd share a card that is all blue skies and happiness... hee!

Goodies:
Products by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted...

Stamps: Party Hearty, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride classic inks
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White cardstock; patterned paper by Jillibean Soup
Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Sanding Block

Out of the entire Stampin' Up! Summer Mini, the Baker's Twine was my favorite thing. I love twine and I am SO excited to see it in Stampin' Up! colors! Of course, I bought all 3 they are offering right now. How cool would it be if there was even more in the 2011-2012 catalog! I can wish, right? Speaking of the new catalog, I am desperately waiting for it! After working with the current stuff all year, I need something new! Especially paper... the mini's aren't cutting it for me! Anyone else super excited about the preorder in a month???

Anyways, this card is pretty straight forward... I stamped the hats from the set and cut them out to use as a banner. I popped them up and added the twine. I'm making Thank You's this week to give to my daughter's teachers. I already have another one to share with you tomorrow! :) Until then, I hope you have a great day and hopefully it isn't raining where you are!
