A Banner Birthday Card
Hi! How was your weekend? Mine was good- pretty quiet because of the rain. I went to our monthly Stamp Club meeting on Saturday and had lots of fun with my stampy friends! We also went to our first softball meeting of the season. We are newbies this year- the girls can't wait to get started! We've been practicing in our backyard when the weather cooperates and they aren't too bad :) I think it will be pretty fun!
Let's talk about this card- it was a fun one to make! The banner die is by Taylored Expressions, the papers are by Lawn Fawn, and the stamps are by Simon Says Stamp. I really like how they all look together- it turned out bright and fun!
I'm one to buy local if I can so I don't purchase too many things online. When I saw these new stamps by Simon Says Stamps, I had to make an exception :) Hee! I just loved them! And now that I've tried their products, I am sure to order again- I don't know if I've had a stamp come out so crisp before! I am impressed!
Well, hope your week goes well! I'm busy with mom duties... softball, ballet, after school reading programs... :) Lots of fun stuff!
Thanks for stopping by today!

An Embossed Hello Card
Today I have a card I'm pretty proud of to share with you! If you happened to watch Teresa Collins' segments on HSN on Monday, you may have seen this among the samples on her table!! It was pretty exciting to see my cards on TV- and wasn't Teresa great?? I loved watching!
For this card, I chose a few of my favorite embossing folders from the Teresa Collins Ebosser Collection. I ran each one through my Ebosser with white cardstock. I cut them into strips and then adhered them onto my card. I used a little bit of Xyron Mega Runner Adhesive in the center of each strip to secure them to my card. I stayed away from the edges so that my sewing would be easy and my needle wouldn't get gunked up with adhesive. I sewed along the edges of each of the strips with a zig-zag stitch.
After it was all sewn, I embellished it with some fun goodies from the Teresa Collins You Are My Happy collection- I love the colors in this one! These coral sequins might be my favorite ever! :)
I'm so glad I had time to pop on and share this card with you today!

You Are My Anchor Card
Happy Friday!!
I'm so glad it's the end of the week! It's been a good week but it feels good to slow down a little- we've been busy. And tomorrow is supposed to be nice here in Virginia- nearly 70! Sounds pretty great, doesn't it? :)
I've been posting a lot this week and have one more card to share with you all:
This one was inspired by a few things. First, the subject matter- I was inspired by Taheerah's Cure For the Monday Blues challenge #9 to use the colors and nautical theme. I went clean and simple with the design because of this week's Lawnscaping Challenge.
And notice the embossing? I wanted to use that so I could remind you to watch HSN this coming Monday!! Teresa Collins will be one sharing her gorgeous collections, tools, and diecutting machine, the Ebosser! You might even see a card or two from me as samples!! Don't you think it would be fun to have more craft shows on tv? I used to love watching Martha Stewart and Carroll Duvall back in the day...
I used my new Lawn Fawn Float My Boat stamps and die set for this card. The base is created out of Stampin' Up! naturals white cardstock and has been embossed with the dotted chevron folder by Teresa Collins for Ebosser. Before running it through the machine, I inked over the edges with Smoky Slate ink. The sentiment is stamped on gray patterned paper by Fancy Pants.
I am so glad I had a little time this week to create! As the girls get busier with springtime activities, I know my time will be cut short! Better enjoy it while I can! :)
Hope you have a great weekend!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release- Easter Scramble
Hi! Today is day two of the Newton's Nook Designs March release! We are featuring another new mini set, Easter Scramble:
This is a little set with a big impact! There is just so much you can do with it! I love that the tulips double as eggs and vice versa- such a fun idea! I used mine for flowers, throwing the little chick into the bouquet. Some of the eggs have been stamped with ink, one is paper pieced, and the last was colored with my Copic markers. It's fun to mix it up a bit!
Would you like to win Easter Scramble?

Hello My Name Is Cards
Hello! Today is my day on the Teresa Collins Designs blog! I thought I'd share my cards here, too! These ones use the Hello My Name is collection from Teresa Collins Designs. I love so many things about this collection- cute typewriters, the bold color combination, the versatility... I could go on and on! Here is what I created with it:
You can see one of my favorite elements of the collection on this card- the cute typewriters! I used the stamp and also the decorative tape with typewriters on them- aren't they cute!!
I used the bold striped tag with a frame from the Hello My Name Is Ephemera Tags pack for my focal point atop a kraft card base. I added the smaller tag from the Hello My Name Is Decorative Brads pack to the center of the frame after I stamped the typewriter on it.
Just a little peek of the decorative tape, a bit of red patterned paper, and tone on tone stamping accent the focal point perfectly.
The next one uses the collection as more of an accent- I really wanted the stencilled background to be the focal point of this card:
I started out with a kraft card base and used the Basically Essential modeling paste and stencil pack #2 to create the days of the week background. I added a transparency is cut into a tag shape and embellished with patterned paper from the Hello My Name Is 6x6 pad, the hello decorative tape, and a sticker from the Decorative Sticker Sheet. I accented the sticker with a couple of the Hello My Name Is epoxy dots as well.
Adding the decorative brad and twine to the top of the tag lets you see the shape a little more. In real life it's easier to see because it's shiny and reflects the light.
I have one more project to share today- a large tag. This one was featured in this month's Scrapbook Generations online magazine, CREATE:
I was inspired by a sketch sent by Scrapbook Generations. I created a white tag base and added modeling paste over the chevron patterned stencil from Basically Essential Stencil Pack #2. The tags are all created from paper out of the Hello My Name is 6x6 pad.
The quote is a sticker strip from the Hello My Name Is Decorative Sticker sheet that I cut into smaller pieces. I thought it worked well with the here stamp- isn't it great?
I really enjoy creating with the Hello My Name Is collection! All the fun elements make card making so easy!
Thanks for joining me today!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release- Spring Showers
Hi! It's release week for Newton's Nook Designs! Three new cute sets to play with!! Today we are featuring the adorable Spring Showers mini set:
Isn't this duck cute? I stamped him on a panel of white cardstock. I added a splash to his puddle and then colored it all with my Copic markers. Once it was colored, I added the sentiment to the top and created some banners for the bottom, stamping my second sentiment on the widest one.
The papers I used are from the Doodlebug Take Note collection 6x6 pad- the fun rainbow pattern is just perfect for this springtime card!
Would you like to win Spring Showers?
This set will be given away to Two lucky winners!

Happy Watercolor Dahlia Card
I thought I'd pop on and share a card this afternoon- I had quite a card photoshoot yesterday afternoon so I should have lots to share this month! :) I created today's card using some of my most recent Stampin' Up! purchases- I am loving the Happy Watercolor set and matching Watercolor Wonder DSP!
So without meaning to, I cased another card I created with the Happy Watercolor set- I guess this sentiment is just meant for vellum and that die! lol!
I used Daffodil Delight and Smokey Slate inks to stamp the watercolor images behind my dahlia. This dahlia stamp is one of my all time favorites! It's from a set called Regarding Dahlias :) The dahlia has been stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white on Basic Gray cardstock. I love how all the elements look together!
And after reading the sentiment again, I have my favorite song by Pharrell Williams stuck in my head! :) It could be worse, right- I mean at least it's a song I like!
Up to anything fun this weekend? I'll be stamping the day away tomorrow at a crop with my friends and I have absolutely no plans on Sunday- I love a day without plans! That means we can do anything!! Hee!
Well, I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Curing My Blues With A Birthday Card
Hello! How's your week going? Mine is a slow one but it's going pretty well. I'm glad tomorrow's Friday!
I have a card to share today- it was inspired by Taheerah's Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge #7- Sunny Side Up:
I've been wanting to play along with this challenge since Taheera started it- I can't believe it's been 7 weeks already! I'm glad I had time to play along!
*Edited to add* So I guess I'm still behind- lol! I played along with last week instead of this week! Oops!
*Edited to add* So I guess I'm still behind- lol! I played along with last week instead of this week! Oops!
Yesterday I had a few minutes to create after the girls went to bed and decided to get out a few of my new Lawn Fawn goodies- I used the Birthday Tags set for this one:
I was inspired by the colors, the woodgrain, and the white-on-white look from the original photo. I started with a white card base and embossed the front with the Herringbone folder by Teresa Collins Designs for Craftwell. Next, I stamped a woodgrain pattern onto kraft cardstock and sewed it to the card using my machine. I stamped and diecut the tag and then added the sentiment and cupcake. The cupcake was colored with Copics. I added a little flower sequin from Lawn Fawn for fun!
I added a strip of washi and a strip of glitter paper to the card front and then added the tag. Then I finished it off with the yellow patterned paper stamped with asterisks and the ribbon.
I had fun with this- new stamps, new challenge and a few of my old favorites mixed in too! Thanks Taheerah for the inspiration!

Grin And Bear It Birthday Card
Hi! Today is Thursday?? We started the week with a couple of snow days and this is the first day I'm feeling back on schedule. It still feels like a Monday though! lol!
I have a cute Newton's Nook Designs card for you today- this one uses the cute new Winston's Birthday set:
I paired Winston with the adorable Into The Woods patterned papers by Lawn Fawn. I stamped Winston on a diecut journaling card and colored him with Copic markers. I put two of the sentiments together and stamped them with black ink. The balloon is paper pieced and added to the card with a foam adhesive dot. Before I added the journaling card to my card front, I stamped a row of presents over the orange strip of patterned paper and tied a bit of twine in a bow for accent.
I just love Winston! He makes birthday cards easy to create- I could even use this for a male! :) In fact, I made this one with a male in mind- today is my stepdad's birthday! Happy Birthday Bill!
OK! Hope you have a great day!
