I love fall designs and finished these two cross stitch patterns over the last year. They were small and fairly simple to work on but did contain a bunch of pretty varigated floss which can be pricey!<div><br /></div><div>First up is The Thankful Owls by Bent Creek. I fell in love with the owls on this one! And, they are tiny enough to fit on a fork! I had to stitch it :)</div><div><br /></div><div>I used the called for floss and stitiched it up on a 32 count linen. I can't recall the name of the color but if I remember, I'll edit this post to add it in.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-73WenpRIGK4/X70cxXlzBPI/AAAAAAAAOG4/LyIFCZ828Qste1mDUqaaB9b3CZK6lPYWQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1440/Owls%2BFinish%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="cross stitch" border="0" data-original-height="1440" data-original-width="1440" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-73WenpRIGK4/X70cxXlzBPI/AAAAAAAAOG4/LyIFCZ828Qste1mDUqaaB9b3CZK6lPYWQCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/Owls%2BFinish%2B2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I finished this one in this cute frame by Jillibean Soup. I found it at my local Joann store. I added a bit of brown floral fabric I had in my stash from when Stampin' Up! made fabric (remember that?). I wrapped my cross stitch around a piece of sticky board and then matted it inside the frame. Simple but cute! I ended up displaying it in a tobacco basket I picked up at Target. I add seasonal pieces here throughout the year- it makes a cute background for stitched pieces!</div><div><br /></div><div>My second piece features A Little Thankful by Lizzie Kate. I purchased this as a kit and it included a cute tiny charm and beads. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JMoNBQns-8E/X70c3CXHAEI/AAAAAAAAOG8/Q2wme4UDSKEx2qZVp8MrCg_hQjAxwLhXwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Thankful%2BFinish%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="cross stitch" border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JMoNBQns-8E/X70c3CXHAEI/AAAAAAAAOG8/Q2wme4UDSKEx2qZVp8MrCg_hQjAxwLhXwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/Thankful%2BFinish%2B1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>This one is also finished on a frame by Jillibean Soup that I found at Joann. This is my last Friday off this summer! Even though it was a weird summer that moved very slowly, here on the last day it feels like it sped by! I am excited to be back to work though and can't wait to see my students, even if only virtually!</p><p>I created a few other cards for the Stitchables release from Waffle Flower Crafts earlier in the month. I thought I'd share one of them with you today!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lb4UUEgGxxk/XzadroAkWqI/AAAAAAAAN-0/uUvxyA-JVQwChhC2UsW09zqvkB5QpeLMACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Donut%2BCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="stitched card front" border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2047" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lb4UUEgGxxk/XzadroAkWqI/AAAAAAAAN-0/uUvxyA-JVQwChhC2UsW09zqvkB5QpeLMACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/Donut%2BCard.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>I used the <a href="https://waffleflower.com/collections/2020-08/products/stitchable-circles-die" target="_blank">Stitchable Circles Die</a> to along the bottom of a white card base. I stitched the donuts using DMC floss in a caramel brown and bright pink color. I added seed beads from my bead stash to create the look of sprinkles. The sentiment from the <a href="https://waffleflower.com/collections/2020-08/products/stitched-sentiments-stamp-set" target="_blank">Stitched Sentiments Stamp Set</a> was perfect for this card!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0J9WOmEAoxw/Xzadvy-lqOI/AAAAAAAAN-4/VuSqb6nB6ekpxF5QkAEkm4R2Ve5VMfXmgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Donut%2BCard%2BCloseup.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="closeup of stitching" border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0J9WOmEAoxw/Xzadvy-lqOI/AAAAAAAAN-4/VuSqb6nB6ekpxF5QkAEkm4R2Ve5VMfXmgCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/Donut%2BCard%2BCloseup.png" width="640" /></a></div><p>This stitched design was made into a free downloadable pattern. Pop over to the <a href="https://waffleflower.com/collections/2020-08" target="_blank">Stitchables</a> area of the Waffle Flower Shop to find it!</p><p>Off to enjoy my last Friday off! Have a great weekend!</p><p><br /></p><p>-Tess</p>Tessa Wisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03409917784898615985noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8773496310092672047.post-66185220588585487102020-08-05T09:00:00.003-04:002020-08-05T15:50:06.629-04:00Waffle Flower Stitchables Blog Hop<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2bO7TzOvp-w/Xylz_TzGSUI/AAAAAAAAN88/FD77eT2Q4VooQxoQ9QMmsDBizbGqLYK1QCLcBGAsYHQ/s2040/blog%2Bhop.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2040" data-original-width="2040" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2bO7TzOvp-w/Xylz_TzGSUI/AAAAAAAAN88/FD77eT2Q4VooQxoQ9QMmsDBizbGqLYK1QCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/blog%2Bhop.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello friends!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I am so excited to be hopping along with the Waffle Flower team today! For their latest release, Waffle Flower has merged two of my favorite crafts- card making and cross stitching! Their new Stitchables products are so fun and innovative!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Waffle Flower’s Stitchable products are now available <a href="https://waffleflower.com/collections/2020-08" target="_blank">in the store</a>! In case you missed it, Nina introduced the beginner friendly <a href="https://waffleflower.com/blogs/news/intro-to-stitchable-borders">Stitched Borders here</a>, and the <a href="https://waffleflower.com/blogs/news/intro-to-stitchable-pinking-shapes" target="_blank">Pinking Shapes</a> and <a href="https://waffleflower.com/blogs/news/intro-to-stitchable-holiday-shapes" target="_blank">Holiday Shapes</a> for more experienced users. I pulled inspiration some two patterns I stitched last year. The first one is part of Hands On Design's Chalk Full: Harvest and inspired by Priscilla Blain. I pulled one flower from the pattern to stitch on the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/products/stitchable-pinking-circle-die" target="_blank">Stitchables Pinking Circle Die</a>.</div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HF6P6QTrfxA/Xyl3MhT3RUI/AAAAAAAAN9Q/DDrZ0tyeqqgleXpBLwMUgx9j-DT3ze4cwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0035%2B%25281%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HF6P6QTrfxA/Xyl3MhT3RUI/AAAAAAAAN9Q/DDrZ0tyeqqgleXpBLwMUgx9j-DT3ze4cwCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_0035%2B%25281%2529.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>I cut the die from black cardstock and gave it a chalkboard look with white pigment ink before I stitched the flower. The design was meant to look like chalkboard art and I love that you can diecut any color paper to use with the Stitchable Pinking Dies. Endless possibilities, right? Here is a closer look:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-avA6MCB8I8U/XylsICSlrrI/AAAAAAAAN8Y/HtHfABSPEtEbRWJ7Zd2h2IaKIsy5JKP_QCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0473%2B2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2047" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-avA6MCB8I8U/XylsICSlrrI/AAAAAAAAN8Y/HtHfABSPEtEbRWJ7Zd2h2IaKIsy5JKP_QCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_0473%2B2.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">This was stitched using overdyed threads by Gentle Arts Sampler Threads and Classic Colors. I also used the new <a href="http://waffleflower.com/products/stitched-sentiments-stamp-set" target="_blank">Stitched Sentiment Stamp Set</a> for the sentiment and stitched with my sewing machine on either side of it to keep with the theme.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">My second card features the smallest llama from the Llama Lump pattern by Plum Street Samplers. I stitched him up on some linen textured kraft cardstock cut with the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/products/stitchable-pinking-rectangle-die" target="_blank">Stitchable Pinking Rectangle Die</a>. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5d-yStIZDm0/Xyl3T_CqgcI/AAAAAAAAN9U/TKIf2agPtpk-kHQjvHghsFjbResqJeaagCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_0029%2B%25281%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5d-yStIZDm0/Xyl3T_CqgcI/AAAAAAAAN9U/TKIf2agPtpk-kHQjvHghsFjbResqJeaagCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/IMG_0029%2B%25281%2529.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This was also stitched using overdyed threads from Gentle Arts Sampler Threads, Classic Colors, and Weeks Dye Works. Although I used to cross stitch when I was young, I picked it up again after finding all sorts of intresting and modern patterns on Etsy! I started working on a few fan art projects and then moved on to some more intricate designs. I found a wonderful cross stitch community on social media which also helped with the obsession! Currently I have 31 works in progress (WIPs) that I am working on. <div><br /></div><div>One of my most favorite projects is Big Red Ship of Life. This beautiful pattern was designed by Ink Circles. Here is a cover photo of the finished piece:</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jm0fO2Jbfws/XxWtQjI5FcI/AAAAAAAAN24/wWSFzu1KN9M2orpHkeMGmlnfoLuV95uJQCLcBGAsYHQ/s447/big_red_ship_medium_370x.webp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="447" data-original-width="370" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jm0fO2Jbfws/XxWtQjI5FcI/AAAAAAAAN24/wWSFzu1KN9M2orpHkeMGmlnfoLuV95uJQCLcBGAsYHQ/w530-h640/big_red_ship_medium_370x.webp" width="530" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I started this in 2017 and have been working on it here and there over the years. Instead of stitching with one color thread for a monochromatic look, I chose to create a colorful ombre' using Fiberlicious silk flosses in the Ocean Sunset collection.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JbPyHr8R0CI/XxWtsP9SpQI/AAAAAAAAN3E/mU_dK6rjJiE7dJEq6siAgLINETAsXtgeACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_3327.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cross Stitch work in progress" border="0" data-original-height="1436" data-original-width="2048" height="448" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JbPyHr8R0CI/XxWtsP9SpQI/AAAAAAAAN3E/mU_dK6rjJiE7dJEq6siAgLINETAsXtgeACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h448/IMG_3327.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I worked my way from the bottom up, changing colors every 25 rows or so. I also feather slightly so that there isn't too harsh of a line between the colors. I have completed 2-3 colors a year so far and currently am about half way done! Beautiful reds, oranges and yellows are left to fill in the top.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jJgL8Tk6xdo/XxWv7W7s7pI/AAAAAAAAN3Q/fGZ6VotBJPU1YRz8HrORNcchVNJShhizgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_3325.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cross Stitch Closeup" border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jJgL8Tk6xdo/XxWv7W7s7pI/AAAAAAAAN3Q/fGZ6VotBJPU1YRz8HrORNcchVNJShhizgCLcBGAsYHQ/w480-h640/IMG_3325.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Before I started stitching, I planned out the ombre effect. I took the vertical stitch count and divided it by the number of colors I wanted to use. That number gave me the stitch count for each color. I stitch 23 rows of each color. To take the harsh line between colors away, I choose a few stitches above and below the line to intermix with the next color. I call this feathering. The next picture is a closer look so you can see this.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fUa7kWcveCc/XxWxlDDfDpI/AAAAAAAAN3c/2k7vDnTn01kr6CWykSmdtxXLOKe3NrSNwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_3329.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cross Stitch Closeup" border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fUa7kWcveCc/XxWxlDDfDpI/AAAAAAAAN3c/2k7vDnTn01kr6CWykSmdtxXLOKe3NrSNwCLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h480/IMG_3329.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I am excited to get back to this! I am currently trying to complete some of my projects (WIP down) so that I have around 20 current WIPs. 30 just seems like too many! Once I WIP down a few more, I will pull this project out again. I am in no hurry to finish it! I absolutly love working on it and hope it lasts forever! :)</div><div><br /></div><div>Do you have any projects that you will be sad to finish because you love working on them so much?</div><div><br /></div><div>-Tess</div><div><br /></div><div>Supplies:</div><div><a href="https://inkcircles.com/products/big-red-ship-of-life" target="_blank">Big Red Ship of Life</a> by Ink Circles</div><div>Antique White 32 count Linen by Wichelt- a full yard</div><div>Fiberlicious Silks- <a href="https://www.fiberliciousyummyfibers.com/product-page/ocean-sunset" target="_blank">Ocean Sunset Collection</a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Tessa Wisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03409917784898615985noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8773496310092672047.post-19741770404518320592020-07-14T09:00:00.001-04:002020-07-14T09:00:05.784-04:00Crochet Baby Yoda<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MObv6t30RX4/XwyOAEXaPLI/AAAAAAAANx4/FcPL81e8MoYhulIwohkr_9am55rk-oSZACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/BE12996E-8C45-48FF-8EC0-C82AB82348E0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Finished amigurumi" border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MObv6t30RX4/XwyOAEXaPLI/AAAAAAAANx4/FcPL81e8MoYhulIwohkr_9am55rk-oSZACLcBGAsYHQ/w640-h640/BE12996E-8C45-48FF-8EC0-C82AB82348E0.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Anyone else have a pile of crafts they started during quarantine???</div><div><br /></div><div>I am sure there are some people out there who can relate when I say I had a moment of start all the things in my craft room! We needed a little holiday Disney magic! Over the last three years, we have spent time at Disney over the holidays so we were expecting the crowds and long wait times. We are usually okay with that since our schedules only allow for travel at Christmas time or summer. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kSIgzJbSg3s/XvIaEBlnfAI/AAAAAAAANjc/53EERXbysVksIAm5-TLkNPTqlwwqX7UagCK4BGAsYHg/s4032/Selfie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Family traveling selfie" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kSIgzJbSg3s/XvIaEBlnfAI/AAAAAAAANjc/53EERXbysVksIAm5-TLkNPTqlwwqX7UagCK4BGAsYHg/w640-h480/Selfie.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>We stayed at the Coronado Springs resort for our first time. I first learned about dry embossing while working at my local scrapbook store, Recollections, years ago. We stocked Lasting Impressions embossing templates and accessories and I always loved the samples they sent! I collected many of the templates and even taught classes for awhile. My local store closed 12 years ago which was when I stopped finding Lasting Impressions locally. I kept my plates in my stash, only creating things here and there over the years.<div><br /><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hdIyTtb1nkE/XvIUnDIK0dI/AAAAAAAANfA/MWBM6a3JtXwOufGu5zfgvzXUMatqZE-XACK4BGAsYHg/s3132/Bugs%2BCard%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="card front" border="0" data-original-height="3132" data-original-width="2589" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hdIyTtb1nkE/XvIUnDIK0dI/AAAAAAAANfA/MWBM6a3JtXwOufGu5zfgvzXUMatqZE-XACK4BGAsYHg/w530-h640/Bugs%2BCard%2B%25281%2529.jpg" width="530" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>Some time last summer I decided to look up Lasting Impressions on social media. It seemed like they had also been pretty quiet over the last few years. I checked out their website and found that they had quite a few new templates and cute ideas. Then, one day, they posted that they would be hosting an online summer camp retreat type class. I was intrigued and jumped in!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TOtAAMORR9I/XvITf-yx9qI/AAAAAAAANeM/kDLoEmu52yYBAg9x6m3xt5qN9cE7lttNACK4BGAsYHg/s3266/S%2527more%2BLife.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="card front" border="0" data-original-height="3266" data-original-width="2641" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TOtAAMORR9I/XvITf-yx9qI/AAAAAAAANeM/kDLoEmu52yYBAg9x6m3xt5qN9cE7lttNACK4BGAsYHg/w518-h640/S%2527more%2BLife.jpg" width="518" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>The class kit was wonderful! Everything was included with enough extras to make plenty more cards from each set. They included a beautifully printed instruction booklet as well as videos to follow along with. They created a Facebook group for chatter and sharing projects as well. Over all, it was just what I was looking for! I think I created over twenty cards last summer just from this kit!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AEDriN1s3-g/XvIUguO3QoI/AAAAAAAANe0/h17mx2O_yTczW0IcSzDB0gLg_ZGc_MjJwCK4BGAsYHg/s3089/Ladybug%2BHello.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="card front" border="0" data-original-height="3089" data-original-width="2509" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AEDriN1s3-g/XvIUguO3QoI/AAAAAAAANe0/h17mx2O_yTczW0IcSzDB0gLg_ZGc_MjJwCK4BGAsYHg/w520-h640/Ladybug%2BHello.jpg" width="520" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Since then, Lasting Impressions has been pretty quiet again but I am hoping that now that summer is here we will see another great online summer camp! We have wanted to adopt a dog. We have been keeping our eye out for a little guy or gal to add to our family but didn't really find the perfect fit until recently! In March, with a little extra time thanks to quarantine, I started getting serious about our adoption. We decided to look for a corgi pup. We were lucky enough to know a wonderful corgi named Rocko several years ago who had really made an impression on the girls. He stayed with us for about a year when they were young and ever since then, they have been corgi crazy! <div><br /></div><div>It would have been my preferance to find a rescue pup but unfortunatly, after looking for a few years, I realized that probably wasn't going to happen. I've always planned on returing to my blog but I am suprised at the date of the last post. Has it really been almost 4 years? I will say they have flown by!<div><br /></div><div>In 2016 I began focusing on a new chapter of my life- getting my master's degree in education and becoming an elementary school teacher. I now have three years under my belt as a fourth/fifth grade teacher and I'm still loving it! I have been blessed to work in a wonderful school with awesome coworkers and fun kiddos :) I hope those things never change! </div><div><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZcOUb9nB5i4/XvDxvwWkUXI/AAAAAAAANbE/jNy39fS7vhM9j1SI0sx2BlllcsmdDhASACK4BGAsYHg/s3024/83964D75-F2BE-4B45-A5D4-2F7FC707E452.png" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="scrapbook layout" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZcOUb9nB5i4/XvDxvwWkUXI/AAAAAAAANbE/jNy39fS7vhM9j1SI0sx2BlllcsmdDhASACK4BGAsYHg/w640-h640/83964D75-F2BE-4B45-A5D4-2F7FC707E452.png" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><div><br />My crafty endeavors have also changed quite a bit since 2016. I still love card making but my focus has been on other crafts over the last few years. I have fallen back in love with cross stitching, painting, scrapbooking, and crochet. Having time at home has been wonderful for rekindling these crafts!</div><div><br /></div><div>My family is doing well! My daughters are growing into beautiful and kind young women. Zoey just finished her freshman year of high school. She loves music and dying her hair. Natalie was in seventh grade this year and loves redecorating her room and hanging out with her friends. Jeremy has been doing well too! He's been enjoying working at home over the past few months. We still have our kitty Ali and will be adding a new four-pawed friend soon!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vR9iX0_SMXs/XvDytrbUxXI/AAAAAAAANbw/Q2ATYdZCwR8ZQA340zHUv1R832Flj65JACK4BGAsYHg/s4032/EAA4D50C-22F0-45F0-AF6A-8C9E7354B054.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="family in car" border="0" data-original-height="2688" data-original-width="4032" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vR9iX0_SMXs/XvDytrbUxXI/AAAAAAAANbw/Q2ATYdZCwR8ZQA340zHUv1R832Flj65JACK4BGAsYHg/w640-h426/EAA4D50C-22F0-45F0-AF6A-8C9E7354B054.png" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>As a family our love for all things Disney has grown quite a bit over the last few years! We regularly visit the parks and love planning future trips to Disney properties all over the world. We can't wait for things to open up again although we won't be planning anything for a bit still.</div><div><br /></div><div>As I make my return to my blog, I am hoping to reconnect to some old friends and make some new ones in the crafty blogger community! Hi!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I made a fun little Christmas card for this week's<a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-christmas-cheer-with-tessa-wise/"> Watch It Wednesday</a> for <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-christmas-cheer-with-tessa-wise/">Waffle Flower Crafts</a>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qjYcA1ZWQho/WE4bzxGHbbI/AAAAAAAAHf0/rn8vbDBBl0EfjJDOLk51KP4WnMADrNloQCLcB/s1600/WFC-WIW-12-14-Tessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qjYcA1ZWQho/WE4bzxGHbbI/AAAAAAAAHf0/rn8vbDBBl0EfjJDOLk51KP4WnMADrNloQCLcB/s1600/WFC-WIW-12-14-Tessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I mixed the Stockings Stamp Set with the Willy & Friends Stamp Set for this one. I also used the fun Insta-Love Die for the frames. I added patterned paper to each one for a fun and festive look. <br />
<br />
Pop over to the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-christmas-cheer-with-tessa-wise/">Waffle Flower Blog</a> to check out the video!<br />
<br />
Hope you are having a great day!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
My post features some fun stamps from <a href="http://waffleflower.com/">Waffle Flower Crafts</a>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rlTY1Oxc8UI/WE35FSflVwI/AAAAAAAAHfk/T7UzAXtEuUAw3jin7TyTkFeSG9FjZmSZQCLcB/s1600/Christmas%2BShoes%2BCard%2B-insta.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rlTY1Oxc8UI/WE35FSflVwI/AAAAAAAAHfk/T7UzAXtEuUAw3jin7TyTkFeSG9FjZmSZQCLcB/s640/Christmas%2BShoes%2BCard%2B-insta.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I created a fun Christmas card inspired by Taheerah herself :) She has the cutest shoes I've ever seen and I'm sure she has a few pairs on her list for Santa this year! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I stamped the cute shoes with the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/first-step-stamp-set/">First Step Stamp Set</a> and cut them out using the matching <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/first-step-die/">First Step Die.</a> I used Copic markers to color them in. The sentiment was custom made by pairing the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/stocking-stamp-set/">Stockings Stamp Set</a> with the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/cutaway-alpha-stamp-set/">Cutaway Alpha Stamp Set</a>. The background piece was cut using one layer from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/pinking-layers-die/">Pinking Layers Die</a>. I added a bit of patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs to finish off the look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
It’s not a party without a prize - and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by <a href="http://waffleflower.com/">Waffle Flower Crafts</a> so you’ll definitely want to win! Simply leave a comment on this post - then head back to <a href="http://taheerah-atchia.com/">taheerah-atchia.com</a> and leave a comment there too! You must leave a comment on Taheerah’s blog as well as mine in order to be eligible to win! Don’t forget to grab the other surprise destinations from Taheerah’s blog and head over to them to leave comments there as well to improve your odds even more! You have until 23:59 EST on 31st December 2016 to enter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Don’t forget Advent Calendar Extravaganza runs from 1st-25th December inclusive so make sure you visit <a href="http://taheerah-atchia.com/">taheerah-atchia.com</a> every day for fabulous inspiration and amazing prizes every single time! Merry Christmas!</div>

Hi! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought I would create a clean and simple card just for that! I used Waffle Flower Craft's <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/tribal-bear-stamp-set/">Tribal Bear Stamp Set</a> along with <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/holiday-words-die/">Holiday Words Die</a> for this card:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OZpTVAgQku4/WCNAmUKCzdI/AAAAAAAAHc8/akb0hG-mbiw2Vo8CSahDGF182Mb3avFMgCLcB/s1600/WFC-11-9-Tessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OZpTVAgQku4/WCNAmUKCzdI/AAAAAAAAHc8/akb0hG-mbiw2Vo8CSahDGF182Mb3avFMgCLcB/s1600/WFC-11-9-Tessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
There is also a video to accompany this card. Pop over to the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-tribal-bear-thanksgiving-card-by-tessa-wise/">Waffle Flower Crafts blog</a> today to check it out!<br />

</div>
I have a card to share inspired by the latest <a href="http://waffleflower.com/inspiration-from-the-challenge-team-september-19-2016/">Waffle Flower Challenge</a> today! I used the cute new <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/little-gifts-3d-die/">Little Gifts 3-D Die</a> for this birthday card:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-arBE8gyMfMI/V97zu35oWkI/AAAAAAAAHYU/sWLLe1oExiALWEfPIQJm-eB43di3z-XnwCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B9-19%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-arBE8gyMfMI/V97zu35oWkI/AAAAAAAAHYU/sWLLe1oExiALWEfPIQJm-eB43di3z-XnwCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B9-19%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I cut out a bunch of the mini bags and toppers to begin with. Some were cut from cardstock and others from patterned paper. I added a couple of patterns and accessories from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/little-gifts-stamp-set/">Little Gifts Stamp Set</a>. The mini tag also comes from there! Once they were all stamped, I placed them on top of a panel cut from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/lacy-layers-2-die/">Lacy Layers 2 Die</a>. I added a sentiment from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/bowtiful-stamp-set/">Bowtiful Stamp Set</a> as well.<br />
<br />
I chose a fun, bright pink cardbase for this one. I used the little swirl and dot stamps from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/peace-on-earth-stamp-set/">Peace on Earth Stamp Set</a> to create a birthday-worthy background. Stamping it with Versamark gave it a tone on tone look.<br />
<br />
I hope you'll join us for our challenge this month! The inspiration colors are so fun this time around! Pop over to the challenge post on the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-september-2016/">Waffle Flower Blog</a> for more information!<br />

I have to admit- I am already excited about the holidays being here! I was happy for back to school and Halloween stuff is out everywhere now! Just a few more weeks and we will be seeing Christmas everywhere!<br />
<br />
I love bright and cheerful Christmas cards! For my Watch It Wednesday post on the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-use-everyday-stamps-for-christmas-with-tessa/">Waffle Flower Crafts blog </a>this week, I thought I would try to create a card using Christmas lights as my inspiration. Here is how it turned out:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mE483d_UHgk/V9m11v95EhI/AAAAAAAAHXw/ryphq1IEhdU-Uw-JeKDodG3EeBytOhUGwCLcB/s1600/WFC-%2BWIW-%2B9-14-Tessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mE483d_UHgk/V9m11v95EhI/AAAAAAAAHXw/ryphq1IEhdU-Uw-JeKDodG3EeBytOhUGwCLcB/s1600/WFC-%2BWIW-%2B9-14-Tessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/shower-stamp-set/">Shower Stamp Set</a> to create the polka-dotted background. I stamped the bubbles in Waffle Flower's new dye ink pads in <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-chirp-chirp/">Chirp! Chirp!</a>, <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-my-pleasure/">My Pleasure</a>, <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-you-said-what/">You Said What?</a>, <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-happy-go-lucky/">Happy Go Lucky</a>, and <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-new-fish-in-pond/">New Fish in Pond</a>. Aren't they pretty? I also stamped over them with white pigment ink.<br />
<br />
The sentiment is from the new <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/peace-on-earth-stamp-set/">Peace on Earth Stamp Set</a>. I love the scripty font :) Here, I heat embossed it using white powder. I added that panel to a layer from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/pinking-layers-die/">Pinking Layers Die</a> and added it to my bright pink card base. I added a bit of twine and some adorable jingle bells that I found in my stash.<br />
<br />
If you'd like to see this all in action, I made a video! It is up on the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-use-everyday-stamps-for-christmas-with-tessa/">Waffle Flower blog</a> today and also on their <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53b5SDsvgLk">YouTube channel</a>. Pop over to check it out!<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by today! It's been awhile since I've blogged and I keep meaning to get back into it. With school and everything, it's been a little harder than I thought to find time! Hopefully I will be back soon with some cards I made for the Waffle Flower release :)<br />

The <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-august-2016/">August challenge</a> at Waffle Flower Crafts is just about to wrap up! Pop over to the blog for details and to play along! I loved the soft colors in this month's inspiration photo and went with some pretty grays and blues for this card:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ckO0QdQaHp8/V6elcH-QswI/AAAAAAAAHVs/YAmFcZDUCiob_1lrZRBB7LEjrGMnuo6cQCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B8-22%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ckO0QdQaHp8/V6elcH-QswI/AAAAAAAAHVs/YAmFcZDUCiob_1lrZRBB7LEjrGMnuo6cQCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B8-22%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I think the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/life-anchor-stamp-set/">Life Anchor Stamp Set</a> and <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/life-anchor-die/">Matching Die</a> is such a great little set! I love the sentiments and the fact that there is a tiny little face to make the anchor even cuter :) I paired it with the border stamp from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/doily-circle-stamp-set/">Doily Circle Stamp Set</a>- I think it makes perfect waves! Here, I stamped them with new Waffle Flower Dye Inks in <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-peace-of-mind/">Peace of Mind</a>, <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-new-fish-in-pond/">New Fish in Pond</a>, and <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-like-a-pro/">Like a Pro</a>. <br />
<br />
If you have time to play along, I hope you will! Pop over to the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/inspiration-from-the-challenge-team-august-22-2016/">Waffle Flower blog</a> for more inspiration from the Challenge Design Team!<br />
<br />

Hope your Wednesday is going well! I am spending my day with my family at the beach. That might have been what inspired today's card! There is also a video of how to make it up on the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/blog/">Waffle Flower Crafts Blog</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_IgqLRuh4ZolB1FwlaXIaw">Youtube Channel</a> for this week's Watch It Wednesday segment :) I used the lovely Faye from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/little-mermaids-stamp-set/">Little Mermaids Stamp Set</a> to create this card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KFVsXcGaOiQ/V6936PBxVhI/AAAAAAAAHWA/mk6eucMHMq0p_VEWOOcjOtIvtCrHfNkMQCLcB/s1600/Mermaid%2BCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KFVsXcGaOiQ/V6936PBxVhI/AAAAAAAAHWA/mk6eucMHMq0p_VEWOOcjOtIvtCrHfNkMQCLcB/s1600/Mermaid%2BCard.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I created a tone-on-toned stamped background using the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/little-mermaids-stamp-set/">Little Mermaids Stamp Set</a> and pretty new Waffle Flower Inks in <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-new-fish-in-pond/">New Fish in Pond</a> and <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/ink-dye-peace-of-mind/">Peace of Mind</a>. Faye is watercolored and diecut using the matching <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/little-mermaids-die/">Little Mermaids Die</a>. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Happy Wednesday! I though I'd pop on early this morning and share a card I made for this week's Watch It Wednesday series for Waffle Flower Crafts! <br />
I went for a fun, layered look with this one! I used the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/sketchy-numbers-stamp-set/">Sketchy Numbers Stamp Set</a> along with the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/lacy-layers-die/">Lacy Layers Die</a> to create my card along with some fun new embellishments from my stash.<br />
<br />
I created a layered background that peeks through the vellum and heat embossed the focal image with white embossing powder.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's been a few weeks since my last post, hasn't it! Things have just started to slow down a bit :) I had an unexpected trip to Washington come up and finals for my summer courses come up. Oh how I am glad they are over! Now I can relax and enjoy the rest of the summer...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this month's <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-july-2016/">Waffle Flower Designs Challenge</a> card, I went with the sharks! The colors were bright and colorful and boy I wish I knew how to photograph neons better! This photo doesn't do it justice...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2C0By0-Wh1Y/V3kdOjMUkeI/AAAAAAAAHTY/UvOvugvI-YYy00dzhq69bOXKLCXq6xpxQCLcB/s1600/WFC%2BTessa%2BWise%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2C0By0-Wh1Y/V3kdOjMUkeI/AAAAAAAAHTY/UvOvugvI-YYy00dzhq69bOXKLCXq6xpxQCLcB/s1600/WFC%2BTessa%2BWise%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Summer means fun times and around here it can get a little goofy! These sharks were so fun to stamp and cut out! I made the card extra long to fit all of them on there together. And of course, left shark is doing her own thing lol!<br />
<br />
Hope your summer has been fun so far! If you have time, be sure to join the challenge at <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-july-2016/">Waffle Flower Crafts</a> this month! You can also pop by the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/inspiration-from-the-challenge-team-july-18-2016/">Waffle Flower Blog</a> to see what the rest of the team is sharing today!<br />

Today I'm sharing a fun card I made for this month's <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-june-2016/">Waffle Flower Challenge</a>. I loved the colors and the flowers shown in the inspirational photo- so pretty! They inspired me to create this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Nmj6XB3E2lE/V2dMOcs0euI/AAAAAAAAHSo/s9lRmvJ9HzEJ9B5GkfCfUTEaKCdILvmewCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B6-20%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Nmj6XB3E2lE/V2dMOcs0euI/AAAAAAAAHSo/s9lRmvJ9HzEJ9B5GkfCfUTEaKCdILvmewCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B6-20%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
These little snails from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/snail-mail-stamp-set/">Snail Mail Stamp Set</a> are so cute! I imagined them in a little oasis of flowers in a garden somewhere in the shade- doesn't that sound like a happy place? :) I stamped these pretty flowers from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/a-bunch-stamp-set/">A Bunch Stamp Set</a> to go along with the adorable snails. Everything has been painted with water and residual ink from my ink pads. When everything was dry, I used the matching <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/a-bunch-die/">A Bunch Die</a> and <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/snail-mail-die/">Snail Mail Die</a> to cut everything out. The sentiment came from the fun, new <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/balloon-messages-stamp-set/">Balloon Messages Stamp Set</a>.<br />
<br />
After everything was cut out, I layered it on to the pink card base. I used some foam adhesive dots to add dimension here and there. I love how it turned out!<br />
<br />
Pop over to the <a href="http://www.waffleflower.com/inspiration-from-the-challenge-team-june-20-2016/">Waffle Flower Blog</a> to check out <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-june-2016/">June's challenge</a> and a few great cards from our design team!<br />

<br />
Today I'm sharing a card I made for <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-neon-lights-hi-card-2017-catalog-project-search/">Watch It Wednesday</a> at <a href="http://waffleflower.com/">Waffle Flower Crafts</a>. I used the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/jumbo-letter-a-z-set/">Jumbo Letter A-Z Die Set</a> to create a neon light look:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HBOaPm_3PT0/V17RmJVzSXI/AAAAAAAAHRc/04vRR80rUc4V5kD5TU4zLnJ1XuczgIRjACLcB/s1600/Neon%2BHi%2BCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HBOaPm_3PT0/V17RmJVzSXI/AAAAAAAAHRc/04vRR80rUc4V5kD5TU4zLnJ1XuczgIRjACLcB/s1600/Neon%2BHi%2BCard.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I used neon cardstock so in real life it's really bright and fun against the black background. To a video of how it was created, pop over to the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/wiw-video-neon-lights-hi-card-2017-catalog-project-search/">Waffle Flower Crafts Blog</a> :) While you're there, check out the catalog contest that is going on featuring these dies as well!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yHgeMI8M4BQ/V17RmDYUIvI/AAAAAAAAHRg/WloJcmcndY87smiDaLDE7gFM23r7g3eiQCLcB/s1600/Neon%2BHi%2BCloseup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yHgeMI8M4BQ/V17RmDYUIvI/AAAAAAAAHRg/WloJcmcndY87smiDaLDE7gFM23r7g3eiQCLcB/s1600/Neon%2BHi%2BCloseup.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
As I was editing the video I had this card sitting next to me at the desk and my daughter asked me why I made a card that said ih! lol! It was upside down... Goofy girl :)<br />
<br />
Hope you have a great day!<br />

Hope your day is going well! I just finished up my homework and have a few extra minutes until I head off to school! I'm enjoying the sunshine on my back porch :) Today is pretty great!<br />
<br />
I wanted to share a card I created a little while ago. It features the adorable bird stamps by W Plus 9. I just love these stamps! They remind me of one of my favorite artists, <a href="https://charleyharperartstudio.com/">Charley Harper</a> :) I love his work and had to have these stamps as soon as they came out! Here is what I made with them:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WZVk4LnEIBQ/V2Atzb4PvnI/AAAAAAAAHSA/ICCfy9n9ziMBOrQxT7lAm7mfKHCD6B4qgCLcB/s1600/Blue%2BBird%2BCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WZVk4LnEIBQ/V2Atzb4PvnI/AAAAAAAAHSA/ICCfy9n9ziMBOrQxT7lAm7mfKHCD6B4qgCLcB/s1600/Blue%2BBird%2BCard.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped and watercolored this little scene on Stampin' Up!'s shimmer paper. It is a nice thick cardstock and watercolor works well on it. I love that the whole thing shimmers- it's subtle but so pretty!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8VWB-hrKvUM/V2AtzKn85GI/AAAAAAAAHR8/Dre7ZgLCbTUZOwej0yzcp2-xERTVODvBwCLcB/s1600/Blue%2BBird%2BCloseup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8VWB-hrKvUM/V2AtzKn85GI/AAAAAAAAHR8/Dre7ZgLCbTUZOwej0yzcp2-xERTVODvBwCLcB/s1600/Blue%2BBird%2BCloseup.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
This stamp set is sure to get some more use soon! I think it is the cutest :)<br />
<br />
Hope you have a great day!<br />

Hello!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
How is everything with you? Is your month as crazy as mine has been? :) I am trying to keep up with it all but sadly my poor blog has been last in line for attention... sorry!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had a tiny bit of time this morning and have been wanting to share the cards I made for the Waffle Flower Crafts Summer Release. This one is simple but turned out to be one of my favorites:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d5wD7wC5SvY/V17SSdX5pcI/AAAAAAAAHRo/GujwoeMHBaYNYGYBg0r28cA3MEyPZMRvgCLcB/s1600/You%2Bare%2BMy%2BAnchor%2BCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d5wD7wC5SvY/V17SSdX5pcI/AAAAAAAAHRo/GujwoeMHBaYNYGYBg0r28cA3MEyPZMRvgCLcB/s1600/You%2Bare%2BMy%2BAnchor%2BCard.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Anchors are perfect for this time of year and I pulled out the new <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/life-anchor-stamp-set/">Life Anchor Stamp Set</a> to play with first. I made this one with my hubby in mind- it was our 15th anniversary last week :) I stamped out the anchors with Stampin' Up! Basic Black ink onto the smooth side of some watercolor paper. I used watercolors to paint them in and let them dry. After they were dry, I ran them through the diecut machine with the matching <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/life-anchor-die/">Life Anchor Die</a> to cut them out. I added some gray twine to each of them, finishing with a knot near the anchor. My white cardbase has been embossed using a wide stripe embossing folder. I adhered my anchors using foam adhesive and then stamped my sentiments. I cut a small slit in the top of the card to slide the twine through. I adhered it inside the card.<br />
<br />
I have been creating a bunch of fun things! Hopefully I will find time in the next few days to share everything :)<br />
<br />
Hope you have a great day!<br />

School is kicking my butt this week- I am taking two math courses and a science course over the summer semester and they have started out with a bang! Lots of homework... I think I should be all caught up for this weekend though! We have nothing on our to do list so I am making plans to relax, craft a little, and maybe plant some flowers :)<br />
<br />
Today I'm popping on to share the card I made for this week's <a href="http://waffleflower.com/?p=20345">Waffle Flower Craft's Watch It Wednesday Series</a>. I paired the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/leafy-stamp-set/">Leafy Stamp Set</a> with the cute little <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/faye-stamp-set/">Faye Stamp Set</a> for this one:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LqkBux2iVYQ/VzxoMfqxyHI/AAAAAAAAHQo/zCEsxX-hIosUA6eBYiltJc4SMyEGFSNFQCLcB/s1600/Leafy%2BWatercolor%2BCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LqkBux2iVYQ/VzxoMfqxyHI/AAAAAAAAHQo/zCEsxX-hIosUA6eBYiltJc4SMyEGFSNFQCLcB/s1600/Leafy%2BWatercolor%2BCard.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I show how I did the fun stamped watercolor background in the video :) Pop over to the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/?p=20345">Waffle Flower Crafts Blog</a> to watch!<br />
<br />
Speaking of videos, I had an idea to film something a little different recently too! I made a vlog- it's more of a chat really- about what I've been working on with my crafts this week. I am going to give it a try and film every week or so to show my progress on projects, new things I'm working on, shopping trips, favorite tips and tricks and lots more! Please subscribe to my <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/tessamwise">YouTube channel</a> if it sounds like something you're interested in!<br />

<br />
I better start working on finishing my homework for this week so I can enjoy the upcoming weekend! I am already looking forward to it! Thanks for stopping by today!<br />
<img alt="post signature" class="left" src="http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t345/tessawise/Signature2.jpg" />Tessa Wisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03409917784898615985noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8773496310092672047.post-74738434385904135082016-05-16T06:00:00.000-04:002016-05-16T11:16:14.983-04:00With Love- a card for the Waffle Flower ChallengeBoy did the weekend go by fast! I can't believe it's already Monday again. That means it's time to share what I made for May's <a href="http://waffleflower.com/inspiration-from-the-challenge-team-may-16-2016/">Waffle Flower Challenge</a>! Pop over to the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-may-2016/">challenge post</a> to check out the inspiration photo. I used the colors and the floral prints as inspiration for my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-prZADCNHKr8/Vznhv1kUxSI/AAAAAAAAHQY/TLt0G2-Sd_wKnLXQLvwqo-NRCkMtBKPmQCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B5-16%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-prZADCNHKr8/Vznhv1kUxSI/AAAAAAAAHQY/TLt0G2-Sd_wKnLXQLvwqo-NRCkMtBKPmQCLcB/s1600/WFC%2B5-16%2BTessa%2BWise.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
The stamped flowers are from the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/in-every-way-stamp-set/">In Every Way Stamp Set</a>. I paired them with the <a href="http://waffleflower.com/product/with-love-word-die/">With Love Word Die</a>. I used black ink and black cardstock with them to really make them bold looking on the light blue card base. <br />
<br />
This month's inspiration was really fun! The colors aren't something I would usually put together but I really like how this card turned out!<br />
<br />
There is still time to play along! Pop over to <a href="http://waffleflower.com/waffle-flower-challenge-may-2016/">May's challenge post</a> to check out the inspiration and submit your card!<br />
