Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start! I saw that Inspired Blueprints posted their latest sketch over the weekend so I thought I'd pop on and share my take this morning- it's Sketch #107!
I took these photos of Zoey on the first day of school last month. They are some of my favorite of her- she was so happy! When I got the new You Are My Happy collection from Teresa Collins I knew they were perfect for each other!
I followed the sketch for the most part- adding some layers of patterned paper behind the photos. I added a cluster of embellishments from the collection to the left side, finishing it off with a bit of twine. My favorite thing about this collection is the metallic prints- the rose gold hearts here are to-die-for-cute!
I loved Sketch #107! It was so inspiring! I also loved seeing what each of the design team members created! Pop over to the Inspired Blueprints blog to check out their pages- there are so many talented designers this season!
Well, hope you have a great Monday! I've got a big to-do list this week- the Scrapdoodles Retreat is this weekend!!! Gotta prep for my class and figure out what I'll be working on all weekend! :) At least it's a fun to-do list!
Thanks for stopping by!

Loads of Christmas Wishes
Good morning! Today I'm playing along with the most recent Inky Paws Challenge from the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
They have another cute sketch to inspire you- here is my take on it:
I stuck to the sketch, creating a fun Christmas card. I chose the adorable Wagon of Wishes set and put a Christmas spin on it by coloring the presents in red and green. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils again- I'm still loving them! I may even invest in the gigantic tin with all the colors!
The sentiment is a combination of two sets- Wagon of Wishes and Holiday Wishes. I love how easily the go together!
The papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle- I love the rich colors in that stripe! I kept my embellishments simple, a couple black epoxy dots by Teresa Collins Designs and sticker stitches by SRM Stickers along with some pretty ribbon I had in my stash.
Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to pop over to the Newton's Nook Designs blog to see what the rest of the team made and check out the full sketch!

Santa's List Cards
This time of year always goes by sooo fast! I swear, it was just the first day back to school- wasn't it? Hee! It's been a little colder here and I've been in the mood to create some Christmas cards. I shared them over on the Teresa Collins Design Team blog but I thought I'd share them here, too!
My first card features one of the adorable treat bags along with lots more goodies from the Santa's List line:
Did you see that beautiful embossing on my card base? I used one of Teresa's new Ebosser folders to get the pretty embossed look. Once I ran it through my Ebosser, I added the burlap ribbon down the left side. I slipped a gift card into the treat bag and folded it over on top, tying it with a bit of green baker's twine to fasten it shut. I adhered it to the card front and then added the label sticker, the santa and ticket die-cuts to the front. I added my sentiment sticker (by SRM Stickers) and embellished it with a couple pretty enamel dots to finish it off.
I cut my paper so that Santa ended up on the left side of my front panel. I added a strip of the polka-dot patterned paper (Snowflakes) to the bottom edge and then added my sentiment sticker just above it. The red banner flag is from the sticker sheet and the kraft one is from the die-cut sheet. I added a sticker button to the top of that, tied with a black twine bow. Last, I added a green sequin for a touch of sparkle.
This Santa might be my favorite! He is so jolly and warm looking- just who I imagined when I was younger!
This card was also a quick one:
I started by covering my card front with a panel of red and white polka-dot patterned paper (Snowflakes). I punched out this journaling card and fancy label from the die-cut sheet and added them to my card front using dimensional foam adhesive. I tied a bit of brown baker's twine around it and added the Santa chipboard piece to the right side. I added dotting sticker (SRM Stickers) to the label to bring some emphasis to the believe and I was done! This one may have been the quickest of the bunch :)
I started this card with a white card base. I added some of the red and white polka-dot pattern (Snowflakes) to the bottom 3/4 of the card front. I added a couple of border strips at the top of the patterned paper, as well as a bit of green cardstock. I wrapped it with some white twine and tied a bow to the left side. Next, I added a 3x4 photo using the decorative photo corners just to the right of the bow. I embellished with a couple sequins and added the die-cut tag with a handwritten greeting.
Now that I've gotten started on Christmas cards I can't stop! :) These were just so fun to put together and I can't wait to send them out to my friends and family with their gifts! I hope they inspire you to start yours, too!
Well, hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by!

I love the little touches of green! They really pop on that die-cut!
My next card is a quick one- I was inspired by the Santa from the "Santa" patterned paper:

I created a photo card as well- photo card are so fun to send! With the cute photo corners your family and friends will be able to take the photos off and use them elsewhere as well:

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release: Newton's Holiday Mischief
Good Morning! Today is the start of the holiday release from Newton's Nook Designs!
Today we are showcasing the adorable Newton's Holiday Mischief set! It is so fun! Here is the card I made:
Every stamp in this set is so adorable! It was hard to pick which one to play with first! Finally, I chose this little kitty, looking to enjoy some of Santa's cookies and milk! I stamped him in black ink onto natural ivory cardstock and colored him using my newly aquired Prismacolor pencils! The sentiment I've used is a sneak peek of another new set- Holiday Wishes- which will be debuting on Wednesday this week!

Fun Fall Cards
Hello! I'm guest designing over on the Scrapdoodle blog today and thought I'd share my cards here, too! I chose two cute stamp sets from Darcie's Heart and Home and some adorable patterned papers from Lawn Fawn to create these cards:
This first one uses the Pile of Fun stamp set:
I love this image! Darcie's Heart and Home gives you so many options- cling rubber or clear acrylic in each of the sets we have at the store. They also added pigtails to the set so you can make it a boy or a girl- isn't that clever! I made mine a little girl and had so much fun coloring her. I used my colored pencils and really love how easy they are to blend. If you have trouble with Copics, these are another great option for coloring!
I chose the Plenty of Fun set for my second card:
Isn't this little turkey cute? I couldn't walk out of the store without him! lol! I used colored pencils again to color the image- they worked great on the kraft cardstock. I chose colors that would go along with the patterned papers from the Into the Woods collection from Lawn Fawn. Using your patterned papers as inspiration for your colors is a great place to start if you are having a hard time.
I had so much fun stamping with the adorable sets by Darcie's Heart and Home. I think I'll stop by the store and pick out a couple images for wintertime, too!
Thanks for popping by the blog today!

You Are My Happy Cards
Hello! Today I'm sharing a few cards on the Teresa Collins Designs team blog. I thought I'd add them here, too! They feature the new You Are My Happy collection:
The first one features some of the great ephemera pieces from the You Are My Happy Ephemera Pack:
The tag with the little heart cut out of it was my favorite piece from the ephemera pack. It's simple but so perfect for a card! I popped it up and added the square of striped paper that came in the ephemera pack to the back. The 2 is also from the pack- you get 0-9 and can use these in so many ways!
Can you see the shine on those little hearts behind the sentiment? They are the prettiest shade of rose gold- something you'll see on quite a few pieces in the You Are My Happy collection. It is such an awesome detail! The letter stickers and 'us' sticker are from the You Are My Happy Sticker Accessory Sheet and the Best Friends banner is from the You Are My Happy Chipboard Elements package. I had fun with the layers on this one!
My next card is a clean and simple card using a cut out from the Hello Tags patterned paper:
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this hello cut out. I simply popped it up on my coral cardbase and added a strip of patterned paper (Shooting Arrows) along the bottom edge. I embellished it simply using a few of the pretty sequins from the You Are My Happy collection.
For my next card, I started with the medium file folder as my base- I love the floral polaroid on it:
I splattered a bit of shimmery mist in the center and added the polka-dot hexagon sticker from the You Are My Happy Sticker Accessory Sheet. I added the rose gold border strip next and then the chipboard heart from You Are My Happy Chipboard Elements. I added my sentiment stamp next to my cluster and then added the banners and brad to the top left corner. These banner flags can be found in the You Are My Happy Ephemera Pack and the brad is from the You Are My Happy Decorative Brads. Lastly, I added a few sequins around the heart and on the file folder tab. They are such a pretty element- I love how they add a little sparkle!
I love how this next one turned out! Do you recognize the embossing? It's from one of Teresa's new 8 1/2 x 11" embossing folders from her Ebosser line:
Isn't the embossing pretty? I love it! After embossing my card front, I picked out the heart tag from the You Are My Happy Ephemera Pack and added it to the right side. Next, I added the two borders along the bottom. I stuck the pink chipboard piece next and then splattered my shimmery mist over the card. To finish off the look, I added a few sequins and the sentiment which is a sticker from the You Are My Happy Sticker Accessory Sheet. I popped up the sentiment sticker and added some twine to give some dimension to my card.
I was so inspired by the new You Are My Happy collection! The colors and patterns are so me right now- I have more cards and even a scrapbook page or two planned in my head! I can't wait to find some more time to spend creating! I know you'll love it too!

Day at the Beach Layout
Hi!
I realized I forgot to post my layout last Friday when the latest Inspired Blueprints sketch went live! I thought I'd still share it even though I'm a few days late- I loved working with this sketch so much! Here is my layout based on Sketch #104:
The photos are of my daughter Zoey at Deception Pass in Washington state. The beach there is so pretty and we were glad to spend the day playing in the sand. Zoey is my oldest and didn't want to play in the water- she wanted to play with all the rocks! She spent the day digging them up and creating this silly face.
I picked out the Just Because collection from Little Yellow Bicycle to use with my photos- it's been in my stash for awhile and it felt good to use some of it! I feel like it really compliments these photos.
I kept the layout pretty close to the sketch. I added a few extra layers of patterned paper to it and used washi tapes rather than a banner element in the center.
Now that I look at these photos I wish I was back at the beach! What a fun day!
If you'd like to check out the original sketch as well as what the other girls pop over to the Inspired Blueprints blog! The girls shared some really cute layouts with it!
Hope you enjoy your day!
