Dreams Do Come True Card
Hello! I'm popping on to share a card I made with my new goodies from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store- I'm so excited to be guest designing with them this month! I love the Solstice 6x6 paper pad by Pink Paislee- the patterned papers are so pretty and it just has that fall feel to it without being so themed. I paired it with the Dreams stamp by Neat and Tangled along with the banner dies and twine by Lawn Fawn:
I started with a piece of the patterned paper and cut it to fit my card front. I splattered it with gold mist and let it dry. I diecut the banner out of vellum and stamped the sentiment with Jet Black Staz On ink. I stamped it again onto some pink patterned paper and cut out around it. I added it to the banner using foam adhesive.
I wanted the sentiment to stand out a little more so I cut out another piece of vellum to add underneath the banner. I cut it in a shape that kind of looked like a watercolor blob :) I wanted it to look like there was white watercolor behind it. To tell you the truth, I tried many times to actually watercolor the vellum but vellum and watercolor don't seem to mix well!
I adhered the vellum blog onto my card front and then added my banner over the top of it. I used the Kool Tac Clear Foam Adhesive strategically so you wouldn't see them through the vellum. I added the twine last, tying it to the left side. I curled the ends a bit as well by wrapping it around a pencil overnight.
I'm so happy I had the chance to guest design for my favorite online store! Thanks for having me!!

Happy Friday!
Hello and Happy Friday!! I'm looking forward to the weekend! I'm heading out to a fiber festival tomorrow and on Sunday we are reworking our front flower beds :) It's supposed to be sunny too! I will be smiling the entire weekend I think!
This week has been one of those weeks though... we all have them, don't we! I'm going to play catch up today and share two fun projects! The first was featured on the SRM blog this week- a bunch of team treats I made for the girls' softball team:
I am seriously in love with these triangle treat boxes!! I think every treat looks cuter in them, don't you? I paired the treat box with this great stamped image from Mama Elephant, stamping it on vellum and diecutting it into a circle. The scallop has been stamped too using a fireworks image by Lawn Fawn. The softball sticker and twine are also bits you can find from SRM :)
My second project is my Project Runway inspired card from last week! It was the American Girl challenge- can you guess who's design inspired my card?
Did you guess Sandhya's design? I love her eclectic style and use of colors but that wacky outfit was definitely not my favorite! lol! I was inspired to create something from it though!
I stayed with the pink, added a bit of nautical and even a ruffle! This cute little girl is from Avery Elle's Red and Goldie set- since it was an American Girl challenge, I had to include a doll! :)
I'm not sure I'll play along with Project Runway this week- it was makeover week and I think it would be pretty tacky if I asked to makeover one of my friends cards lol! I guess I could makeover one of my own... Well, we'll see if inspiration strikes! :)
Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Inspired by Project Runway's Rainway
Hello! I have been swimming in a to do list over the last few weeks and finally found the end of it today!! It's so nice to be on top of things again! :) With my to do list in check, I had time for a little fun!!
I was so inspired by last week's Project Runway episode- the one with the rainway! Did you see it? I absolutely loved the winning looks! I have been wanting to make a card based on Sean's dyed dress since it aired- I'm so glad I had time today! Here is my card:
I created the watercolored background by punching circles out of tissue paper and watercoloring them with pink, orange, and yellow inks. I let them dry and then mod-podged them onto a piece of white cardstock. I love the way it turned out! The circles remind me of the circle skirt on the winning look! I also used the same dye colors Sean chose :)
I wanted a bold sentiment and pulled out this beautiful scripty one from the Make A Wish set by Mama Elephant. I stamped it in black and added a few stars from the set to accent it. The rest of the card was kept simple-a bit of black and white patterned paper at the bottom of a white card base and a little twine along the bottom of my focal panel. I'm so happy with how it turned out!
Many people have looked at this and asked if it was a stamp set I used for the background- maybe one of my stamp designing friends will do a watercolor bubble stamp set for me?? Please? :) Hee! That would be pretty cool!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I can't wait to see what tonights episode inspires!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release- Apple Delights
Hello! Today I have another fun Newton's Nook Designs card to share with you! This one features the new Apple Delight set:
The images in this mini set are so cute! There are caramel apples, apple cider, and plain apples mixed with the cutest punny sentiments! I had fun with this one, stamping the cider cup image out on white paper. I colored it using Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut around it.
My card front has been embossed with a pretty woodgrain folder. Next, I added the banner shape, also cut out of white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on it and added a few strips of patterned paper just below it. I added the twine to the top and then added my cider mug with dimensional foam adhesive.
This little stamp set is so cute! I know you'll love it just as much as I do!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release- Spooky Street
Spooky Street features some great full image stamps that are slightly distressed for a unique look. I've used the haunted house for my focal point, stamping it with Jet Black Staz On ink on vellum. I added a mix of halloweeny sequins under the vellum and then sewed it to the center of the turquoise stars paper (Stampin' Up!). The sequins are loose and move around when you shake it!
I added the strip of purple polka-dotted paper (Bella Blvd.) over the top and wrapped a bit of black and white twine around it. I punched the tickets out and stamped the tombstones and sentiment over the gray and splattered a bit of white mist over it. I adhered the tickets with foam dimensional adhesive.
This one was so fun!! I love shaker cards :)

Newton's Nook Designs September Release- Falling In To Autumn
Hi! It's day two of the Newton's Nook Designs September Release! Today we are showcasing the Falling in to Autumn set- boy is it a nice one! Pretty autumn leaves and sentiments to go along with them! Here is what I made:
I started with a natural white card base and splattered green mist over it. Once it was dry, I added a strip of orange washi tape and some patterned papers to the left side. I popped up the last yellow one and also added a mini staple for embellishment. I added the thread next, carefully tucking it under the yellow strip.
I stamped the viney leaves next with kraft colored ink. I also stamped the sentiment with a dark brown ink. I stamped the leaves onto a big of extra natural white cardstock and fussy cut around them. I added them to my card using foam adhesive so it would pop up.
Aren't those leaves pretty? I love the entire set!

Riverside Card for the Waffle Flower Challenge
Hi! I have two posts up today so don't forget to scroll down to see what I made for Newton's Nook Designs this month!
Have you had a chance to play along with the current Waffle Flower Challenge? There is a great sketch and fun technique to challenge you this month! My card today is inspired by the technique challenge to stamp a scene- although, now that I look at it, I was inspired by the sketch, too!!
I stamped a scene using the Riverside stamp set, adding some layers with the Riverside die set. I stuck with pretty blues, greens, grays, and a lot of white. The card base has been embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder- a play on the forest trees. The clouds have been embossed with white embossing powder for another layer of texture.
I hope you have time to play along with the Waffle Flower Challenge this month! It's a fun one with so many possibilities!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release- Perfect Pumpkin
It's release week for Newton's Nook Designs! They have 4 new sets this month and boy are they fun! We are featuring Perfect Pumpkin today- an adorable mini set that includes cute little Newton dressed up as a witch:
I colored the kitty with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I also paper pieced the little hat with polka-dot patterned paper.
The papers are from Stampin' Up!'s Motley Monsters collection. I thought the colors were so pretty together and don't they compliment this cute image well! :)

Dance in the Rain Card for Butterfly Reflections Ink
I'm so excited to be guest designing for Butterfly Reflections Ink today! I've been shopping their online shop since my local store closed and am always happy with the great service and fun products!
The cute Over the Rainbow stamp set really caught my eye- I love the mix of images and sentiments!
The idea for this card came from the 'dance in the rain' sentiment. I thought it would be cute to make the umbrellas look like they were dancing in the rain. I stamped the umbrellas first, using 4 different colored inks. Then I stamped the sentiment just above. I added some splatters next and when they were dry I added a few sequins.
This set is really cute! I can't wait to get it inky again :)
I hope you get a chance to pop over to the Butterfly Reflections Ink store- they have so many cute things in stock!
Thanks for sound by today!

Hang In There Card
Hello! Hope your morning is starting off well! I've got a busy day ahead of me with two extra cute little boys visiting! I thought I'd better pop on and share my card while I had a chance. I created this one with the adorable Hanging Around set by Newton's Nook Designs:
Isn't he a cutie! I stamped him on to white cardstock and colored him using Copic and Stampin' Up! Blendabilities. I fussy cut around him and then pieced him on to the sky blue panel. I stamped the clouds next, using Versamark and heat embossed them with white powder. I used Copics to do a little shading around them. I added the stitched line last, using a needle and thread to stitch something for him to hang on to!
The papers are from the Solstice 6x6 pad by Pink Paislee. I love the mix of patterns in that one! So pretty! I added the chevron pattern to my card front and added the blue panel over the top of it. I used just a bit of a couple other patterns to embellish along the bottom. I added my sentiment just above the papers and finished it off with a few epoxy dots.
Well, with that, I better get going! those cutie boys will be here any minute! Thanks for stopping by today!

Joyful Wishes Card
Hi! I'm finally catching up on things around here and have a little time to blog again! Yay! The girls have been back to school for a week now and things are finally slowing down. I picked up a few things from the new Lawn Fawn release last week- so many cute things!! I thought I'd try out the newest Lawnscaping Challenge with them. The challenge this time is One Layer Cards and this idea popped in to my head instantly:
I pulled out one of these adorable new note cards to use as my card base. I diecut the snowflakes in to one side- they are from the new Stitched Snowflakes set. Next I stamped the sentiment and the diamonds from the Joy to the Woods set with Versamark. I embossed them using white powder.
I splattered the card front with a bit of silver and white mist next and when it was dry, added a few sequins to accent it all. I also added a bit of twine to the top. I love how it turned out! It's even prettier in person :)
I'm so glad I had time to play along with this challenge- I'm sure it will be a popular one with all the new goodies people have! Too fun!
Thanks for popping by to see me today!
