Mini Gift Bags

I have a card to share inspired by the latest Waffle Flower Challenge today!  I used the cute new Little Gifts 3-D Die for this birthday card:

I cut out a bunch of the mini bags and toppers to begin with.  Some were cut from cardstock and others from patterned paper.  I added a couple of patterns and accessories from the Little Gifts Stamp Set.  The mini tag also comes from there!  Once they were all stamped, I placed them on top of a panel cut from the Lacy Layers 2 Die.  I added a sentiment from the Bowtiful Stamp Set as well.

I chose a fun, bright pink cardbase for this one.  I used the little swirl and dot stamps from the Peace on Earth Stamp Set to create a birthday-worthy background.  Stamping it with Versamark gave it a tone on tone look.

I hope you'll join us for our challenge this month!  The inspiration colors are so fun this time around!  Pop over to the challenge post on the Waffle Flower Blog for more information!

A Bright and Cheerful Christmas Card

Who's counting down the days until Christmas?  I have to admit- I am already excited about the holidays being here!  I was happy for back to school and Halloween stuff is out everywhere now!  Just a few more weeks and we will be seeing Christmas everywhere!

I love bright and cheerful Christmas cards!  For my Watch It Wednesday post on the Waffle Flower Crafts blog this week, I thought I would try to create a card using Christmas lights as my inspiration.  Here is how it turned out:

I used the Shower Stamp Set to create the polka-dotted background.  I stamped the bubbles in Waffle Flower's new dye ink pads in Chirp! Chirp!, My Pleasure, You Said What?, Happy Go Lucky, and New Fish in Pond.  Aren't they pretty?  I also stamped over them with white pigment ink.

The sentiment is from the new Peace on Earth Stamp Set.  I love the scripty font :)  Here, I heat embossed it using white powder.  I added that panel to a layer from the Pinking Layers Die and added it to my bright pink card base.  I added a bit of twine and some adorable jingle bells that I found in my stash.

If you'd like to see this all in action, I made a video!  It is up on the Waffle Flower blog today and also on their YouTube channel.  Pop over to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today!  It's been awhile since I've blogged and I keep meaning to get back into it.  With school and everything, it's been a little harder than I thought to find time!  Hopefully I will be back soon with some cards I made for the Waffle Flower release :)

My Anchor Card

Hello!  The August challenge at Waffle Flower Crafts is just about to wrap up!  Pop over to the blog for details and to play along!  I loved the soft colors in this month's inspiration photo and went with some pretty grays and blues for this card:

I think the Life Anchor Stamp Set and Matching Die is such a great little set!  I love the sentiments and the fact that there is a tiny little face to make the anchor even cuter :)  I paired it with the border stamp from the Doily Circle Stamp Set- I think it makes perfect waves!  Here, I stamped them with new Waffle Flower Dye Inks in Peace of Mind, New Fish in Pond, and Like a Pro.

If you have time to play along, I hope you will!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower blog for more inspiration from the Challenge Design Team!

Hope you're having a great day!!

Dancing Sharks Card

Hello!

It's been a few weeks since my last post, hasn't it!  Things have just started to slow down a bit :)  I had an unexpected trip to Washington come up and finals for my summer courses come up.  Oh how I am glad they are over!  Now I can relax and enjoy the rest of the summer...

For this month's Waffle Flower Designs Challenge card, I went with the sharks!  The colors were bright and colorful and boy I wish I knew how to photograph neons better!  This photo doesn't do it justice...

Summer means fun times and around here it can get a little goofy!  These sharks were so fun to stamp and cut out!  I made the card extra long to fit all of them on there together.  And of course, left shark is doing her own thing lol!

Hope your summer has been fun so far!  If you have time, be sure to join the challenge at Waffle Flower Crafts this month!  You can also pop by the Waffle Flower Blog to see what the rest of the team is sharing today!

A Snail's Happy Place Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a fun card I made for this month's Waffle Flower Challenge.  I loved the colors and the flowers shown in the inspirational photo- so pretty!  They inspired me to create this:

These little snails from the Snail Mail Stamp Set are so cute!  I imagined them in a little oasis of flowers in a garden somewhere in the shade- doesn't that sound like a happy place? :)  I stamped these pretty flowers from the A Bunch Stamp Set to go along with the adorable snails.  Everything has been painted with water and residual ink from my ink pads.  When everything was dry,  I used the matching A Bunch Die and Snail Mail Die to cut everything out.  The sentiment came from the fun, new Balloon Messages Stamp Set.

After everything was cut out, I layered it on to the pink card base.  I used some foam adhesive dots to add dimension here and there.  I love how it turned out!

Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to check out June's challenge and a few great cards from our design team!

Well, I hope your week is off to a great start!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Leafy Watercolor Card and Video

Happy Wednesday!  School is kicking my butt this week- I am taking two math courses and a science course over the summer semester and they have started out with a bang!  Lots of homework... I think I should be all caught up for this weekend though!  We have nothing on our to do list so I am making plans to relax, craft a little, and maybe plant some flowers :)

Today I'm popping on to share the card I made for this week's Waffle Flower Craft's Watch It Wednesday Series.  I paired the Leafy Stamp Set with the cute little Faye Stamp Set for this one:

I show how I did the fun stamped watercolor background in the video :)  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Crafts Blog to watch!

Speaking of videos, I had an idea to film something a little different recently too!  I made a vlog- it's more of a chat really- about what I've been working on with my crafts this week.  I am going to give it a try and film every week or so to show my progress on projects, new things I'm working on, shopping trips, favorite tips and tricks and lots more!  Please subscribe to my YouTube channel if it sounds like something you're interested in!

I better start working on finishing my homework for this week so I can enjoy the upcoming weekend!  I am already looking forward to it!  Thanks for stopping by today!

With Love- a card for the Waffle Flower Challenge

Boy did the weekend go by fast!  I can't believe it's already Monday again.  That means it's time to share what I made for May's Waffle Flower Challenge!  Pop over to the challenge post to check out the inspiration photo.  I used the colors and the floral prints as inspiration for my card:

The stamped flowers are from the In Every Way Stamp Set.  I paired them with the With Love Word Die.  I used black ink and black cardstock with them to really make them bold looking on the light blue card base.

This month's inspiration was really fun!  The colors aren't something I would usually put together but I really like how this card turned out!

There is still time to play along!  Pop over to May's challenge post to check out the inspiration and submit your card!

Thinking of You Card

Hi!  Today I have a fun card inspired by this month's Waffle Flower Challenge!  I loved the colors in the inspirational photo and the fact that the flowers were coming out of the umbrella- so cute!  I planted my flowers in a teacup to mimic the look:

The background was stamped with the beautiful Lacy Flower Stamp Set.  I used the largest image with white ink.  Next, I added a bit of white spatter over the top of it.  I let it dry and then embossed it with a wide stripe embossing folder.

The focal panel was cut using the Lacy Layers Die.  I stamped the sentiment from the Lacy Flower Stamp Set along the bottom.  I added a bit of washi to act as my foundation for my focal image.  The focal image was created using the Warm Wishes Stamp Set and the A Bunch Stamp Set.  I colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut around the image.  I added it to the card with a foam dot for dimension.

The challenge will be going on for a few more days!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to check out the inspiration for this month!  It's a cute one and if you play along, you'll have a chance to win some free goodies! :)

Welcome Spring Card- inspired by the Waffle Flower Challenge!

Hello!
Happy Monday!  Today I'm playing along with this month's Waffle Flower Challenge.   We are focusing on watercolor this month and it has been so fun!  Here is my card:

This month's challenge is to use a watercoloring technique.  I grabbed the sweet Welcome Spring Stamp Set to use- I thought it would be perfect for watercoloring!  I stamped the grass out first, using two colors of green for depth.  Next, I stamped the tulip with Staz On black ink.  I watercolored the green using the darker green I stamped the grass with and used a pretty pink for the flower.  I used the lighter green ink to go over the grass with watercolor too.  I stamped the sentiment and then cut the panel so that the flower looked like it was hanging over the edge.

I used white cardstock to create my cardbase and then stamped the butterflies on the top portion.  I added some yellow watercolor in the same spots as well.  I splattered the watercolor all over the front of the card base and then added my focal panel with a bit of yellow cardstock and patterned paper to set it off.

The Waffle Flower Challenge runs through Friday of this week so if you have time and love watercolor, play along!  These new spring sets are just perfect for it!

Waffle Flower Challenge: Inlaid Diecutting

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a card inspired by this month's Waffle Flower Challenge!  This month we were supposed to use the inlaid diecutting technique.  It was fun!  Here is what I made:

I inlaid the cloud dies from the Partly Cloudy Die into the large circle die from the Flower Circle Die.  I also inlaid the sun middle :).  The stamps are from the Rain Check Stamp Set- I put two sentiments together to make mine say You Shine!

Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog today to see what my challenge teammates have created!  Everyone is so creative!!

Hope you enjoy your day!

Waffle Flower's January Challenge

Hi!  Happy Monday!  I am using this extra day off to play catch up :)  The last few weeks have been a whirlwind!  CHA was busy and fun!  It was so nice to meet people I chat with online in real life.  I recognized almost everyone lol!  After CHA I came back to a full schedule of classes to start- I already have homework!  I think my classes will be pretty fun this semester though!  I also had to have a crafty day pronto thanks to all the inspiration the last week brought.  And of course hang out with the family- the long weekend was perfect for that!

Today I also have a card I made for the current Waffle Flower Challenge:

This month's challenge is stenciling.  I created a stencil using the Tribal Pattern Die.  I diecut it out and sponged ink from the Hero Arts purple ombre ink pad over it.  I also used the Tribal Bear Stamp Set and Die for the stamped sentiment and smaller tribal pattern panel.  The Amazing Word Die Cut is a sneak from the upcoming release!  I can't wait to use more of the awesome new word dies- they will be available in February!

There are still a few days to play along with us at the Waffle Flower Challenge!  Pop over to the blog for more details!

Love You Sew Much Card

Hello! It's week three of the Waffle Flower Challenge which means I have a card to share with you!  This month's challenge was stamp layering:

And here is my card:

It ended up being a one layer card, too!  I started by stamping the doily from the Circle Doily Stamp Set with white pigment ink onto my card front.  Once it was dry, I blended some pink ink over it.  I love how there is a ghost image of it!  Next, I pulled out the Notions Stamp Set.  I stamped the thread bobbins in some fun colors.  I stamped the sentiment over the top in black and added some stamped hearts around the outside.  I embellished with just a few puffy black heart stickers. Here is a closer look:

I love how this one turned out!  Layering stamps is fun!

The challenge is still going on through this week so I hope if you have a chance, you'll play along with us!  The challenges have been so inspiring this season!  Don't forget to pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to see what the other ladies created this week!

Stamp Layering With White Ink

Hello!  I am sharing a video about this simple layered stamping technique on the Waffle Flower Crafts blog today!  It is simple and may not have warranted a video but sometimes it's easy to forget just how simple techniques can be!  They don't all need to take a half an hour to do, right? :)

This card features the DT Mix Stamp Set, Holiday Labels-Merry Stamp Set, Doily Circle Stamp Set, and Flower Circle Dies.  I did some layering with white cardstock as well.  I kept the embellishments and layout simple so the stamping would really stand out.
Here is a closer look at the center:

A Merry and Bright One-Layer Card

Look at this!  Two posts in two days?  I am loving it!! :)
Today I am sharing a fun card I made this weekend using a christmastime favorite from Waffle Flower Crafts:

This one ended up being only one layer.  I was going to cut out the design and add it to a different card front but loved how simple and bold it looked on the white.  I ended up cutting it down to a square instead!
The stamps are from the Doily Square Stamp Set and the Holiday Labels-Merry Stamp Set.  I started by stamping the center part.  I inked up the stamp with coral ink and then spritzed it with some water.  You can see the water spots in the stamped image- isn't that cool?
I added the green stamped doily next and then stamped the sentiment and label in black.  I added a few black snowflakes, a splatter of coral ink, and a few sequins to finish this one off!

This one was super quick to create but super fun!  I am loving the stamp layering technique- it's the Waffle Flower Challenge this month and it's been inspiring my cards! :)  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog for more info on the challenge!

A Fall Hello Card for the Waffle Flower Challenge

I have an autumn hello card to share with you today featuring this month's Waffle Flower Challenge technique- masking.  I am usually too lazy to mask anything but when I do it, I always love how it turns out!  Here is my card:

I punched a circle out of some computer paper and used the paper as my mask to sponge color into a circle shape.  I used the same color ink to stamp the leaves from the Leafy Stamp Set in.  I also splattered it onto the background.  Once my main image was done, I added some embellishments and the sentiment from the Flower Circles Stamp Set which was stamped onto vellum cut out with the Holiday Label 1 Die.  I embossed it using Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  The colors were also inspired by the challenge!

There is still lots of time to play along with this month's challenge!  I hope you pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to check out today's post and play along with the Waffle Flower Challenge!  Thanks so much for popping by here today!

Good morning!  We woke up to cold weather this morning- frost on the ground and everything!  I am not ready for winter...

Let's think fall instead! :)  Here is the card I made for Waffle Flower's October Challenge:

I loved the inspiration this month!  I embossed the stamped images from the Doily Square Stamp Set with gold embossing powder and cut around the outsides to make it stand out.  The sentiment and leaf is from the Holiday Labels- Give Thanks Stamp Set.  I added some embossing on the card base as well with a chevron embossing folder.

Waffle Flower and Faber-Castell Inspiration Week and a Challenge Card

Good morning!  How was your weekend?  We packed so many things into our weekend that I am actually relieved it's Monday!  Lol!  Even with work and school, the routine will be nice.  If your kids play sports, you probably feel the same way!

Today's being Monday is fun anyways because I am sharing a mixed media project for the Waffle Flower and FAber-Castell Inspiration Week!  Here is a sneak peek- the full project is on the Waffle Flower Blog today:

The piece is a 6x12" canvas with lots of layering and color!  It was fun doing something different than my normal cards :)

Speaking of normal cards, I am also playing along with the new Waffle Flower Challenge!  It's also on the Waffle Flower Blog today :) Here is the inspiration photo:

And here is the card I made:

I loved the colors in the photograph and of course the daisies!  I've been so inspired by the Bloom Stamp Set and Dies lately!  I used the Summer Blend Ink Pad's #14-Sunshine for the centers.  I also incorporated a doily with the Doily Circle Die.  The sentiment was stamped on vellum to create a soft layer over the top of all that color!

The daisies are so addicting to stamp and cut out!  lol!  There were a lot of them on today's projects- weren't there? :)  They are such a happy flower!

I hope you'll have time to play along with us this time!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to check out more inspiration from our awesome design team!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your Monday is off to a great start!

Sunshine and Rain Card

Hello!

How's your day going so far?  Mine is good- and it's Thursday!  The weekend is sooo close! :)  Today I'm sharing a card I made with Waffle Flower Craft's Rain Check Stamp Set.  I was inspired by the latest Waffle Flower Challenge- the colors are so pretty and spring like!

I stamped the rays from the Rain Check Stamp Set onto the purple cardstock with Versamark ink.  Then I splattered it with white mist and set it aside to dry.  I diecut a bit of vellum with the largest circle from Flowers Circle Die Set.  I stamped a few clouds with turquoise ink and diecut them out using the Partly Cloudy Die Set.  I also cut a bit of rainbow striped patterned paper to go along with everything else.

Once the mist was dry, I adhered the purple paper onto the gray cardstock base.  I added the strip of rainbow patterned paper and then stamped my sentiment just below it with black ink.  I added my vellum circle next, tucking a bit of gray string underneath it with the adhesive.  I layered the clouds next, using foam adhesive on the top on to make it pop.  I finished it all off with a few epoxy dots to bring in a bit of green.

The colors are not ones I usually reach for but I do love how it turned out!  Here is the Waffle Flower Challenge inspirational photo- there is still plenty of time to play along!!

Thanks for stopping by here today!  I hope you are enjoying your Thursday as much as I am! :)

Desert Flowers Card

Hi!

Waffle Flower Crafts posted their latest Inspirational Photo Challenge on Monday and I was so inspired by the colors!  I had the challenge in mind when I made this card:

I stamped the large flower image from the Potted Stamp Set on to watercolor paper with Staz On ink.  I used the residual inks from a few pretty Stampin' Up! ink pads to paint the image in.  I kept the paint light for a soft look.

I cut the panel into a 4.25x4.25 square and mounted it onto a kraft card base.  I stamped the border at the bottom of the panel from Pattern Play Stamp Set using the same navy ink I painted with above.

I have been in need of cards without sentiments lately so I decided not to stamp on on this.

Pop over to Waffle Flower Crafts to check out the inspiration!  :)
