Good Morning!
Hope your day is off to a good start! We are hanging out at my Grandma's house this week and loving every minute of it! She lives in my hometown of North Bend, nestled in the mountains of Washington state. It's so pretty here!
Today's card has a theme that is perfect for those of us born in the Pacific Northwest- can you guess?? It's a fishing bear! Hee! Here is my card:
So the theme is funny because just this week my grandma said she saw a bear outside her house- literally outside our window! He wasn't fishing, he was getting into her trash... the fishing bear is a lot cuter, too! I hope he doesn't come back while we are visiting!
This cute bear is from the Campfire Tails set by Newton's Nook Designs. I've had so much fun using their stamps lately! They were all I packed with me on vacation so be on the lookout for a few more cards using them!
I kept this card simple so that the bear would stand out. I colored him using Copic markers. I'm still not the best but I think each time I play, I get a little better! I always start with the darkest shade in the color I'm using and blend it lighter with the lighter shades. Then I go around the outside with my Cool Shadow marker to highlight it a little. I added a little Glossy Accents to his nose to finish off the look:
The cardstock and ribbon is by Stampin' Up! and the plaid patterned paper is from the Lakeside line by Pebbles. For a pop, I matted everything in black cardstock. It really does pop against the aqua background!
Anyways, I better get off the computer and on with my day! We have some fun things planned :)

Rain or Shine Layout
Hello!
Today I want to share a layout I created for my Disney World book! This one is about our day at Hollywood Studios. We had a great time there but it rained off and on! Here is my page:
I picked out some My Minds Eye and We R Memory Keepers papers for this one. The embellishments are by Studio Calico and Little Yellow Bicycle. There are some label stickers by Crate Paper as well.
The color of these Thickers is perfect! They are kind of a mushroom color and go with so many lines!
The canvas clouds were spritzed with mists before I adhered them to the page. These cute rhinestone drops were perfect with these clouds!
This picture of my stepmom and sister cracks me up! As soon as they bought these ponchos, it stopped raining! Better safe then sorry but too funny anyways! Hee! Can you see the kids underneath them, too?
Well, thanks for peeking at my page today!

Newton's Nook Designs First Inky Paws Challenge!
Good Morning!
I have a cute card to share with you today inspired by the first Inky Paws Challenge by Newton's Nook Designs!
Their first challenge is a sketch challenge and I chose to use the adorable Newton's Antics set with it:
After creating a card base with light gray cardstock, I added a panel of the floral paper from my 8x8 Travel Girl pad by October Afternoon. I added a strip of orange and pink damask next and wrapped it with linen thread. I cut a large circle out of natural white cardstock. I stamped the kitty and my two sentiments onto the circle with Memento ink. I colored the image using my Copic markers. To finish off the design, I added a trio of buttons and adhered the circle to my card front using foam dimensional adhesive dots.
The sentiments on this are from the Winged Wishes set. I love how easily they work together!
If you'd like to play along with us or just want to check out the sketch please pop over to the Newton's Nook Designs blog for more information! They have also added a free digi image for you to play along with! It's a cute one! :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Kindergarten Layout
Hello!
Today I thought I'd share a layout I did recently featuring my littlest daughter Natalie on her first day of school:
These pictures were taken only a year ago but already she looks so different! Isn't it amazing how kids grow and change so quickly! Wow!
I used an older (but still a favorite!) line by Pebbles. I have used the heck out of this line and I think I've finally used all I have of it! That plaid paper is so me!
This sketch was from the class I took at Big Picture Classes in May- it has been so fun completing each layout! Here is a closer look at the smaller prints:
Hope you are having a great day!!

New Teresa Collins Family Stories Cards!
Happy Tuesday!
I'm so excited today because I can finally share my cards using the new Family Stories line by Teresa Collins! I shared them on the team blog today and thought I'd add them here, too! Her lines are always so pretty and I'm feeling so lucky to be part of this team!! When I got my box of goodies, the Family Stories line really stood out- it was so fresh and fun! I love the stamp set and the colors and the patterns and the journaling cards... I love it all! :) Here are my cards:
For this one I started with a soft sky blue card base. I added a panel of the wood grain patterned paper to the front, adding some faux stitching to the side edges. Next, I cut out two of the journaling cards. I adhered the blue floral one on a bit of a diagonal to my card front. I stamped the big flower onto the anchor card in pink ink and splattered a bit of darker ink on to it. I punched out the sentiment banner next and tore a piece of the aqua glitter scalloped border to go under it. I adhered them both over the flower, using dimensional foam adhesive for the banner. I tied some red baker's twine around it, finishing in a bow. I adhered this decorated journaling card to the front using dimensional foam adhesive. Here is a closer look:
Aren't those colors great! I am loving the orangy red with the aqua and pink!
This next one was inspired by the brand new layered cardstock stickers. They are great!
Aren't the new stickers fun!! I love the new sequins, too! There are different sizes in each pack.
My last card was inspired by the couple stamp and the you and me journaling card. They just go together! :)
I created a card base out of white cardstock and covered it with the pink floral grid paper. I added a panel of the gray chevron paper to the center. Next, I punched out the journaling card from the die-cut sheet. I stamped the couple using my favorite Delacata gold ink and splattered some gold mist on to it, too. After they were dry, I added the gray baker's twine, the sequins and the glitter border strip. I used dimensional foam adhesive to mat it onto some black cardstock so it really pops and then added it my card front.
I seriously loved working with this line! So many cute new things! I can't wait to create some more cards with it!
Thanks for joining me today!

Good Fortune Birthday Card
Good Morning! Hope your day is off to a good start! We are busy today but I wanted to pop on this morning and share a card I made recently. This one used the fun Good Fortune set by Lawn Fawn:
This set is so cute and I love making cards with it! This time I created a patterned take-out box using some chevron paper from Pebbles, Inc.'s Seen & Noted line. The background is a journaling box that was part of Echo Park's Snap! line.
I kept the design simple so that I could give it to a man- lol! It was hard not to over embellish! I always have a tendency to want bows or something!
Well, hope you have a great day!
