I fell in love...

with YouTube!! Did you know that you can watch Scrapbooking and Stamping videos? I searched for stamping techniques and found some really great videos by Tim Holtz, Suze Wienberg, and some other really great artists... there is some good stuff on there!! My favorite from last night was a cool faux sea glass technique- I can't wait to try this out this weekend...

I've been working on getting my Stampin' Up samples ready for my first workshop. It was a little harder then I thought it would be because of the limited color selection. At Recollections, I had every color imaginable to choose from... with Stampin' Up, there are a lot of choices but I am having trouble putting different colors together coheisively. I've been doing alot of lifting from other paper artists. I think this has helped me get into the Stampin' Up groove of things! I'll be making my own masterpieces in no time, right?? Anyways, here are a few cards I've made this week. They were all inspired by the great paper artists on the Stampin' Up website or at Splitcoast Stampers.

Hope you have a great day and have fun paper crafting!!

Grandma's Brag Book

So, I finally finished my Mom's birthday present... her birthday was in December! Yikes! I am so bad at procrastinating! I am trying a new slide show version of my photos to see if I can add more that way. You may see some of the same photos again... they are my favorite right now so I keep using them on these little gift albums!

I finally got my Stampin' Up starter kit in the mail. Stamps, inks, pastels... and a lovely "how to" DVD. It had to be the corniest thing I've watched in a while... I hope I never act like that at a workshop! My other stuff is pretty fun though! I've made a few cards so far. I have everything to work on a mini book, too. I just have to find the time to put it all together!

Well, babies are calling!

Stampin' Up is coming!!!

I finally ordered my starters kit... I am sooo excited for it to get to my house! I've been tracking my packages via UPS and they are still in Utah... hopefully early next week. I've got big plans in store for this spring. Card classes, theme mini books, scrapbooking for everyone, and of course, SBIAD! I am planning two open houses to kickstart my workshops so hopefully you can all attend! Hope to see you there!
