Card Class at Scrapdoodles

Hello!

Next weekend I'll be teaching a card class down at Scrapdoodles in Fredericksburg, VA.  I thought I'd pop on this evening and share my samples:

Lots of fun techniques in these!  Watercoloring, punch art, a fun ruffle technique, heat embossing, stamping, and some Perfect Pearls fun... something for everyone, right?  If you'd like to join me, please call Scrapdoodles at (540) 548-3788 for more information.

Hope you have a great night!

Squeaky Clean Cards

Hello!  Did you have a good weekend?  We had a nice relaxing one with nothing planned... We went hiking and played a lot outside since it was so nice.  I also got to catch up on some research for a genealogy project I'm working on.  I love weekends like that!

Yesterday afternoon, I was fooling around on Facebook and was inspired by last week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge... lol!  I'm just now realizing that it was last week's challenge instead of a new one- I thought I was ahead of the game!

Here is what I came up with:

Goodies:

Stamps: Squeaky Clean set by Paper Smooches
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento ink; Baha Breeze, Daffodile Delight, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizazz, Going Gray classic inks by Stampin' Up!; Cool Shadow Copic Marker
Paper: Naturals White cardstock by Stampin' Up!; Ticket Booth (Midway), Elixir of Eucalyptus (Witch Hazel) by October Afternoon; Mom's Bouquet (Spring Flings and Easter Things) by Bella Blvd; Bouquet (For the Record 2) by Echo Park
Accessories: Pool Party baker's twine by Stampin' Up!

The Squeaky Clean stamp set is so cute!  I love the theme and the sentiments are great!  For this card, I colored my images with a combination of Stampin' Up! markers, Copic markers, and residual ink with a watercolor brush.  I wanted the colors to be light since I was leaving almost everything white.

And since I had extra triangles cut in the right size, I ended up making another card with the same design:

Goodies:

Stamps: Squeaky Clean set by Paper Smooches
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento ink; Cool Shadow Copic Marker
Paper: Naturals White cardstock by Stampin' Up!; Silver cardstock by Bazzill; Ticket Booth (Midway), Elixir of Eucalyptus (Witch Hazel) by October Afternoon; Mom's Bouquet (Spring Flings and Easter Things) by Bella Blvd; Bouquet, Dk Blue/Lt Blue (For the Record 2) by Echo Park
Accessories: Slate baker's twine by We R Memory Keepers

Isn't the iron cute!  I paper pieced this little guy and added ink around his edges to give him some shadows.  I'm happy with how he turned out!

This is my first time playing along with the SPARKS challenge- hopefully next time I'll catch it when it is still current, hee!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog today!

Boo Card

Hello there!  I hope you are enjoying a beautiful fall day like I am- it really is beautiful in Virginia this time of year.

Today I have a fun Halloween card to share with you today.  I used a fun set from Hero Arts:

Goodies:

Stamps: Girl with Balloon set and Houndstooth background stamp by Hero Arts
Ink: black Memento ink; Old Olive, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie More Mustard, Going Gray inks from Stampin' Up!; skin colored Copic marker
Paper: Confetti White, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry cardstock by Stampin' Up!; Enchantments from Monster Mash line by Imaginisce; Brights DSP pack by Stampin' Up!

I am not the world's best colorer when it comes to using markers... I know that, and it's OK.  I added some paper piecing to make it look a little better and I do like how she turned out, even if she doesn't have glistening hair.  :)

I don't do many Halloween cards but this year I wanted to send out some pictures of my girls in their costumes to their grandparents.  I'm glad I had a need to buy this cute stamp set!  Hee!

Well, thanks for looking at my card today!  See you next time!
