Sweetest Ever Birthday Card

Good Morning!

Today I'm sharing a simple little card I made for an upcoming birthday...

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: The More the Merrier, Sprinkles, Cute and Curly
Ink: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie classic inks; Jet Black StazOn
Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Confetti White cardstock
Accessories: Curly Label punch, Scallop Edge punch, Aqua Painter, Champagne Shimmer Paint, White Signo gel pen

The cupcakes were stamped onto Confetti White cardstock and watercolored using residual inks. I love watercoloring onto the Confetti cardstock- it has a different feel then the whisper white and I think that the colors pool easier and come out a little brighter. I added details with the White Signo gel pen as well as the shimmer paint. It gives it a little sparkle!

Hope you are enjoying your Monday!

Ready For Spring...

Being cooped up in the house for four days because of the snow makes you yearn for spring... sunshine, flowers, and blossoming trees! That is what I was thinking about this afternoon when I made this card:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Season of Friendship set, Cute and Curly set; Sprinkles
Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red, Soft Suede Classic inks; Versamark
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Kraft, Rose Red, Crushed Curry, Whisper White cardstock; The Write Stuff DSP
Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Hemp Twine, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Latte Button Assortment

The sketch for this design was inspired by Just Add Ink's latest challenge:

I thought it was a great sketch- simple looking but the circle makes it interesting... and a little tricky! Hee! If you have time, give it a whirl!

Hope you are enjoying your afternoon!

Old Favorites...

Before I joined the stamping world, one of my favorite techniques was dry embossing! I thought I'd bring out some of my old templates and play...

Here for You Card

Goodies:

Stamps: Friends 24-7 set; Cute and Curly set by Stampin' Up!
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black classic inks
Paper: cardstock by Bazzill Basics, Stampin' Up!, DCWV, and Core-dinations; patterned paper by Heidi Grace Designs
Accessories: Ribbon, halfback pearls, Scallop Edge punch, Curly Label punch by Stampin' Up!; Eiffel Tower embossing template by Lasting Impressions

I actually debossed the Eiffel tower image... it's the backside of my original design but it was much crisper looking then the embossed side when sanded! I thought this paper by Heidi Grace Designs was a perfect compliment to it. I love the purples!

Hope you all have a great weekend and have time to craft on National Scrapbooking Day! Thanks for stopping by this afternoon!

Pretty Pears in a Row

We've been outside enjoying the sunshine this morning and now that it is nap time, I have a little minute to post a quick card! Today's card is inspired by a new color challenge on Dawn McVey's blog! Her stuff is so fresh and cute and I love the colors she picked! Here they are:

And here is the card I made!

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Cheep Talk set; Cute and Curly set
Ink: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip cardstock; Sweet Always DSP
Accessories: Curly Label punch, Scallop Edge punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig

I definitely couldn't have gotten these little pears stamped straight without my Stamp-a-ma-jig! It is a must have for projects like this. I've been wanting to use this little pear stamp since I got it last month- I finally found the right project for it! I added a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of each pear for a little more sparkle.

Hope you are all out enjoying your day! Thanks for stopping by!

Funny- this was so simple but such a challenge! I really wanted to add another color to this! Here is what I came up with, a simple Monogram card:

A Crazy Color Challenge...

Today, Kristina Werner posted a new color challenge! She is forever posting cool stuff on her blog! Here is this week's inspiration:

So, Taken with Teal, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White! I think these work great together but I was a little shy of them at first... Teal always scares me a little... Here is what I came up with!

My mom's birthday card (I actually made it on time!):

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Season of Friendship set; Cute and Curly set
Ink: Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal card stock; Sweet Always DSP, watercolor paper
Other: Scallop Edge punch, Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

The idea for this card came from the December WICKED challenge on Splitcoast. I thought the sketch was perfect for the Season of Friendship set! I typically don't use ovals but I'm glad I tried it out... I stamped the tree and leaves onto the oval. I stamped the bird and flowers onto white card stock and cut them out. I added them next, using some dimensionals under a few of them. I wanted to bring some more teal into the card but the card stock itself was sooo dark! I decided to use some residual ink and my aqua painter to watercolor onto watercolor paper. When it was dry, I stamped my sentiment and punched it out. I think the rest is pretty self explanatory but if you have questions, just ask! I'm always happy to explain anything I make...

Here is my nephew's birthday card (a little late...):

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes set; Sprinkles set; Cute and Curly set
Ink: Certainly Celery, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip Classic inks; Versamark; Timber Brown Staz on
Paper: Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery card stock; Summer Picnic DSP; Bella Rose DSP; watercolor paper
Other: Scallop Square punch, Scallop Edge punch, Curly Label punch, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

So, after failing many times at watercoloring on Whisper White card stock, I finally bought some of the watercolor paper. I am soo glad I did! It really makes a big difference in the blending! I love it!

For this card, I wanted something a little funky and a little less girly since all my cards end up pretty foofy! I think I did OK... The only thing that isn't very easy to see how I did is the scallop around the square in the center. I used the Scallop Square punch to punch four pieces out. I didn't know how big my center should be for them to line up but I guessed at 2 1/2" and it worked perfectly! I just stuck them to the back and lined up the corners and voila!

So, I hope you are having a great day! It is gray and cold here and we are stuck inside today... At least I had time to stamp! Hee!

Sharing some more little goodies!

Today I worked on a color challenge Nicole sent me earlier in the week. I decided to make some more mini cards. The are great because the smaller stamped images really stand out! Here is her inspirational picture:

She challenged me to use Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, Blue Bayou, Whisper White, and Kiwi Kiss. I really like this color scheme so you may be seeing it quite a few times this month! Here are my little cards:

A quick thank you card:

I confess, I used the new Pacific Point instead of Brilliant Blue... I just love that color!!
