Hi there! It's Friday! And a four day weekend for us! And I got lots of new goodies down at my favorite local store, Scrapdoodles this week!! It's a pretty good day around here- I'll even have time to make something! :)
I created a simple card with some of my new goodies yesterday. I picked up quite a few of the fall and winter collections by Lawn Fawn, including some of their new dies! Here is what I made using the new stitched journaling card and leaves dies:
I started with an Island Indigo card base. I added the patterned paper next- this one is from the Into The Woods 6x6 pad by Lawn Fawn. It's matted in Pear Pizazz cardstock. I diecut my journaling block out of Crumb Cake cardstock and then diecut the leaf from the center. Next, I stamped the sentiment and colored in the heart with some Pumpkin Pie ink. I created a confetti pocket behind it using Lawn Fawn's adorable sequins pack and some vellum.
The sequins are really fun! I love the mix of shapes, colors, and finishes. Once my confetti pocket was finished, I tied some twine around the card and adhered it to my card front using Dimensionals.
This was a fun one to make! I'm thinking about all the things these dies can be used for and they are definitely something you need in your collection! :) I love them!
Well, since my kiddos are busy playing this morning, I'm going to get started on another project! I am so glad for this weekend!!

You're Dyno-mite!
I love the new Prehistoric Pals stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs- it is so fun and unique! The little dinosaurs are adorable and so are the sentiments! On today's card, I used the tyrannosaurus rex image to create a simple scene:
Isn't he cute in pink? :) I used some of the other stamps in the set to create the background. I stamped the grass in black and watercolored them using green inks. I stamped the palm in the background using a very light ink. I colored it in lightly with watercolors so that it would look far away. I also added some shadows under the dino.

The plaid paper is from Doodlebug Designs and the cardstock is by Stampin' Up! The pink twine is from The Twinery and it matches the paper and the dino perfectly!
Well, thanks for popping in today!

Happy Harvest with Newton's Nook
Good Morning!
I just got back from the dentist! :) You know how that goes! Hee! Luckily all the people at my office are so friendly and fun! I don't mind going so much.
I wanted to pop on because there is a new challenge up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today! I had fun playing along!
Here is the sketch:
And here is the card I came up with using it:
I enjoyed coloring the image with my Copics this time around! The papers are from last year's October Afternoon Witch Hazel line. I still love that plaid!
I hope you have time to play along with the sketch! Pop over to the Newton's Nook Designs Blog to see what the other designers did with the sketch!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Memorabilia Cards
Today was my day to post on the Teresa Collins Design Team Blog and I thought I'd share here, too! I used her new Memorabilia collection. It is so versatile and pretty and I loved working with it! I love the soft colors and the touch of gold. It really is perfect for every occasion! Here is my first card:
To make this card, I first created a card base with white cardstock. I covered the front with the arrow patterned paper (Snippets). Next I added a strip of the blue patterned paper ( Quatrefoil) and a bit of the pretty gold glittered scallop trim from the Border Strips. I tied a bit of twine around it and finished with a bow. The focal point is a card from the Die Cut Accessories sheet. I added it to my card using pop-dots for a 3-dimensional look. To finish the card, I added a few of the fun new Sequins as an accent to the left side of the card. Aren't they fun!
The second card I have to share would be perfect for a wedding or anniversary:
I started with a white cardbase and covered it with the striped patterned paper (Quotes). I added a panel of white cardstock to the right side of my card front. I then added the strips of blue on each side using one of the thinner Border Strips. I added a strip of the yellow pattered Decorative Tape to the background.
For my focal point, I used the smallest envelope from the Envelopes set. I die cut two hearts out of patterned paper (Quatrefoil, Quotes) and placed them inside the envelope. I popped up the blue one with pop-dots and embellished it with the pretty yellow epoxy dots. I hand wrote 'est. 2013' on the envelope and tied some twine around it for a finished look. I added it to my card front, just above the yellow tape using pop-dots for a more dimensional look.
My last card features the Memorabelia stamp set! I enjoyed making this one because it uses the chalkboard technique! It's one of my favorites! :)
I started with a sand colored card base and covered it with the collaged pattern paper (Damask). This paper was so pretty on it's own! I added a gold glittered strip from the Border Strips, trimming it down to the size I needed. Next, I added a blue label sticker to finish off the background.
I used the stamps to create my focal point. I chose a nice smooth finished black cardstock from my stash to work with. I stamped the damask image onto my cardstock with white pigment ink. I allowed it to dry for a few minutes and then dusted it with my Embossing Buddy. Next, I stamped the frame and hello stamps using my watermark ink, covered them in white embossing powder, and heat set them with an embossing gun. You can see the embossing powder gives a crisp white finish to those images. I cut around the frame next and then went around the edge with a sponge and white ink. I also dusted over parts of the front with the same sponge so it looks like you erased something.
I embellished my focal point with a gold-rimmed brad, a pretty gold sequin, and a chipboard button from the Decorative Buttons set. I finished it off with a twine bow and added the entire piece to my card front using pop-dots.
I filmed a quick video on how to create this stamped chalkboard look. It's so fun to do! Here's the video:
Teresa Collins Designs: Memorabilia Designer Papers, Memorabilia Sequins, Memorabilia Die Cut Accessories, Memorabilia Stamp set, Memorabilia Die-cut Borders, Memorabilia Decorative Tapes, Memorabilia Epoxy Dots, Memorabilia Decorative Brads, Memorabilia Decorative Buttons, Memorabilia Sticky Notes, Memorabilia Envelopes
Other: White ink, white embossing powder, embossing buddy by Stampin' Up!; Mists by Ranger (Dylusionals); Twine by the Twinery; Versamark Ink by Tsukineko;

Newton's Nook Designs August Release- Wagons of Wishes
Hello! It's day two of Newton's Nook Designs August release! Today the design team is sharing cards made with the new Wagons of Wishes set! It's another fun one! Check out what I made:
This set is so fun because you can add different things to the wagon! I chose to add the flowers for this one. I paper pieced the little wagon with some red polka-dot paper then stamped the flowers inside. I colored them with Copic markers. The papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle and work perfectly for the vintage look I was going for. I finished my card by stamping the sentiment onto a banner and embellishing it with a genuine vintage button from my Great Grandma Ollie's collection. I love that I can use something she saved for so long in my crafts today!
Don't forget to pop over and visit the Newton's Nook Designs blog to check out the full set! They are graciously giving away two of each of their new sets- here is the information:

Newton's Nook Designs August Release- Prehistoric Pals
It's release week for Newton's Nook Designs! Today they are introducing Prehistoric Pets- a fun set featuring some cute dinos!! Here is a card I created using them:
Isn't that stegosaurus cute? I colored him with Copics and cut him out. I stamped some dino prints and the palm tree on my card front and then flicked some mists over it. I added the washi tapes next, stamping the sentiment over the yellow one with Staz On ink. I added the twine with my tiny attacher next and finished it off by adding my dino and a couple of epoxy dots.
I had fun creating this one! I colored a few other dinosaurs at the same time so I think I'll make it into a little dino set to give to my friend- she loves dinosaurs!

Calico Kitties Card
Hi There!
What are you up to today? I'm still visiting my family on the west coast and I'm loving every minute of it! I seriously wonder why I live all the way on the other side of the country sometimes... Don't get me wrong- I love it there, too but it's just not the same as being home :)
I thought I'd share a little card I made recently using the cute Newton's Antics set by Newton's Nook Designs! The kitties are just too fun and I can't get enough of them! Today I created a couple of cuddling calico kitties :)
Aren't they cute paper pieced together? I used Pebbles Inc. Family Ties line for this, stamping the kitties onto the plaid and floral designs and cutting them out. I stamped them again on my white panel and watercolored a little shadow around them. I pieced the patterned kitties on to the top, popping up the plaid one to give it some dimension.
After they were pieced together, I added some stamped hearts above them and built my card. I love the sentiments in this set, too! They work perfectly with the kitty theme!
Well, I'm going to keep it short today- off on a few adventures in the next couple of days then it's back to DC! Gotta enjoy it while I can! :)

Hey There Card
Hello!
Today I want to share the easiest card ever! Hee! It was a quick one that only took minutes to create:
I started with a white cardbase and rounded the bottom corners. Next, I added the washi tapes, starting at the bottom. The top one is by Stampin' Up! and the other three are from Teresa Collins Designs. I love that they are all masculine looking!
Once I was done layering my washi tapes, I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches and added the three epoxy dots as an accent. They're by Teresa Collins as well :)
Well, didn't I tell you it was quick and easy! This would be a great one for demoing washi tape :)
OK! I'm going to keep this short- I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by my blog today!
