You Are My Happy Card

You Are My Happy Card- Tessa Wise

Hello!  I thought I'd share a fun card I made recently- yes, another embossed card!  Hee!  I've been using my TC Ebosser like crazy lately!  This card features the new Teresa Collins Beautiful Words folder and I've used it on a diagonal here.  I really love using it this way- it might even be my favorite eBosser technique!

The embossing turned out so nice I wanted it to be the star of this card.  I kept the embellishments simple, using a few bits and pieces from the Teresa Collins You Are My Happy Collection.  A little bit of twine from the Twinery finished off the look perfectly.

Well, I'm going to keep this short- I have a bunch of stuff to get done today and better get started before the day gets away from me!  Thanks for stopping by!

An Embossed Hello Card

Hello-Embossed-Card-2.2

Today I have a card I'm pretty proud of to share with you!  If you happened to watch Teresa Collins' segments on HSN on Monday, you may have seen this among the samples on her table!!  It was pretty exciting to see my cards on TV- and wasn't Teresa great??  I loved watching!

For this card, I chose a few of my favorite embossing folders from the Teresa Collins Ebosser Collection.  I ran each one through my Ebosser with white cardstock.  I cut them into strips and then adhered them onto my card.  I used a little bit of Xyron Mega Runner Adhesive in the center of each strip to secure them to my card.  I stayed away from the edges so that my sewing would be easy and my needle wouldn't get gunked up with adhesive.  I sewed along the edges of each of the strips with a zig-zag stitch.

After it was all sewn, I embellished it with some fun goodies from the Teresa Collins You Are My Happy collection- I love the colors in this one!  These coral sequins might be my favorite ever! :)

I'm so glad I had time to pop on and share this card with you today!

Nuts About You Card

Hello!

How's your week going?  Mine has been one without any schedule- the kids have been home from school because of teacher workdays and snow days all week!  I am just now realizing that it's already Thursday... lol!

Anyways, I have a fun card to share with you today!  I used the new Sweetheart Tails set by Newton's Nook Designs- I love the cute little squirrel!  Here is my card:

Nuts About You Card 1

I built up a pile of acorns for him to guard.  I masked off a few and stamped over them for a layered look.  Then I colored the pile with my Prismacolor pencils.  I've paired this cute guy with Teresa Collins Designs You Are My Happy Collection- the patterned paper is from the 6x6 pad.  Just for fun I added some sequins to this little guy's nut pile.

Nuts About You Card 2

I added a bit of pink twine from The Twinery and stamped my sentiment onto a label sticker to finish it off.  I love how each image in this set has a matching sentiment!  They are really cute!

Well, I better get my day started!  The girls have school today and I've got things to get done before the weekend gets here.  :)

Thanks for popping by today!

TC Tag Thank You Card

I love the metallics in this line- the rose gold is so pretty and shines a lot in real life!

TC Circle Thanks Card 2

I've put some of my favorite embellishments together with this one- it's the little bits and pieces that bring it together!

TC Banner Thank You Card

Chipboard banners, stickers and some patterned paper makes putting together this one quick!

This line is one of my favorites- the patterns are perfect and the metallics make it so special!  It's so fun to work with!

Well, I think I'm in for a pretty fun year!  I can't wait to see what exciting things 2014 has to offer both in my hobby and in my life overall!  It's so nice to start fresh each January, isn't it?  :)

A Few Quick You Are My Happy Cards

Hi!  I've had a busy day of running errands but wanted to pop on and share my cards I posted on the Teresa Collins Designs Blog today!  They were quick to make and turned out pretty cute I think!

This chipboard piece from the You Are My Happy Chipboard Elements pack is what makes this card so cute- since it's already covered in adhesive, it's also what makes it quick!

I chose a tan card base and added the adorable elephants pattern to the center.  I added the chipboard sentiment next.  I added the sticker banner (You Are My Happy Stickers) and a pink patterned paper banner just underneath the chipboard.  I finished it off with a button (You Are My Happy Chipboard Buttons) tied with baker's twine.

I love that piece as a sentiment!  It's good advice, too. :)

My next card is just as quick but uses one of the cut-apart tags from the Hello Tags patterned paper:

After I chose a tan cardbase, I added a strip of the scalloped patterned paper to the left side of the card front.  I added a scallop punched strip to the top of that and then added the eye chart to the right side using foam adhesive.  I added a bit of twine to the chart next and then to finish off the look, I added a little glitter and glossy accents to the heart to make it stand out a little.

My last card features more of the fun chipboard elements from the You Are My Happy collection:

I covered a white card base with the pretty chevron pattern- the miniature prints from the 6x6 pad are the perfect size for cards, aren't they?  Next, I stamped my sentiment onto blush cardstock and stuck the fun floral polaroid frame down around it.  I cut around the edges and then added some pink twine and that adorable chipboard elephant.  I embellished it with a couple sequins (You Are My Happy Sequins) and a pink banner (You Are My Happy Decorative Brads).  I then added the entire thing to the center of my card front.

I wish there was more than one of that little guy- he's so cute!

Well I hope you have fun creating cards with the You Are My Happy collection- I just love it!

A Happy Girl Layout

Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I saw that Inspired Blueprints posted their latest sketch over the weekend so I thought I'd pop on and share my take this morning- it's Sketch #107!

I took these photos of Zoey on the first day of school last month.  They are some of my favorite of her- she was so happy!  When I got the new You Are My Happy collection from Teresa Collins I knew they were perfect for each other!

I followed the sketch for the most part- adding some layers of patterned paper behind the photos.  I added a cluster of embellishments from the collection to the left side, finishing it off with a bit of twine.  My favorite thing about this collection is the metallic prints- the rose gold hearts here are to-die-for-cute!

I loved Sketch #107!  It was so inspiring!  I also loved seeing what each of the design team members created!  Pop over to the Inspired Blueprints blog to check out their pages- there are so many talented designers this season!

Well, hope you have a great Monday!  I've got a big to-do list this week- the Scrapdoodles Retreat is this weekend!!!  Gotta prep for my class and figure out what I'll be working on all weekend! :)  At least it's a fun to-do list!

Thanks for stopping by!

You Are My Happy Cards

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a few cards on the Teresa Collins Designs team blog.  I thought I'd add them here, too!  They feature the new You Are My Happy collection:

The first one features some of the great ephemera pieces from the You Are My Happy Ephemera Pack:

The tag with the little heart cut out of it was my favorite piece from the ephemera pack.  It's simple but so perfect for a card!  I popped it up and added the square of striped paper that came in the ephemera pack to the back.  The 2 is also from the pack- you get 0-9 and can use these in so many ways!

Can you see the shine on those little hearts behind the sentiment?  They are the prettiest shade of rose gold- something you'll see on quite a few pieces in the You Are My Happy collection.  It is such an awesome detail!  The letter stickers and 'us' sticker are from the You Are My Happy Sticker Accessory Sheet and the Best Friends banner is from the You Are My Happy Chipboard Elements package.  I had fun with the layers on this one!

My next card is a clean and simple card using a cut out from the Hello Tags patterned paper:

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this hello cut out.  I simply popped it up on my coral cardbase and added a strip of patterned paper (Shooting Arrows) along the bottom edge.  I embellished it simply using a few of the pretty sequins from the You Are My Happy collection.

For my next card, I started with the medium file folder as my base- I love the floral polaroid on it:

I splattered a bit of shimmery mist in the center and added the polka-dot hexagon sticker from the You Are My Happy Sticker Accessory Sheet.  I added the rose gold border strip next and then the chipboard heart from You Are My Happy Chipboard Elements.  I added my sentiment stamp next to my cluster and then added the banners and brad to the top left corner.  These banner flags can be found in the You Are My Happy Ephemera Pack and the brad is from the You Are My Happy Decorative Brads. Lastly, I added a few sequins around the heart and on the file folder tab.  They are such a pretty element- I love how they add a little sparkle!

I love how this next one turned out!  Do you recognize the embossing?  It's from one of Teresa's new 8 1/2 x 11" embossing folders from her Ebosser line:

Isn't the embossing pretty?  I love it!  After embossing my card front, I picked out the heart tag from the You Are My Happy Ephemera Pack and added it to the right side.  Next, I added the two borders along the bottom.  I stuck the pink chipboard piece next and then splattered my shimmery mist over the card.  To finish off the look, I added a few sequins and the sentiment which is a sticker from the You Are My Happy Sticker Accessory Sheet.  I popped up the sentiment sticker and added some twine to give some dimension to my card.

I was so inspired by the new You Are My Happy collection!  The colors and patterns are so me right now- I have more cards and even a scrapbook page or two planned in my head!  I can't wait to find some more time to spend creating!  I know you'll love it too!
