Living in the DC metro area, we head up to the city quite often to check out the sites! I have my favorite places I like to take people and there are also so many places I still want to visit. For this layout, I used pictures from last summer when I took my inlaws and nephews to check out a few places. We went to the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence and to the Old Post Office. The Post Office is one of my favorites because you can go up to the top of the tower- there is a great view of the monuments and National Capitol building.
I used the He Said She Said line by Teresa Collins Designs for this layout. The colors were perfect for the gray and blues in the photos.
I love this fun paper garland! It is such a great embellishment and it's pre-sewn so you don't have to worry about doing it yourself- lol! I am not such a hot sewer! Below, you can see I used it with a pretty doily and decorative brad and a couple of those fun epoxy dots, too!
This layout was inspired by a sketch from the 28 Days of Sketches- Round 2 Class I took in May. I kept my design pretty clean and simple but still used lots of patterns- I don't think I can help it! Hee!
Well, hope you enjoy your day!

Badlands Layout
Hello There! Today I have a layout to share with you! It's one that was inspired by the class I took recently, 28 Days of Sketches- Round 2. This one is based on sketch 13. We visited the Badlands on our cross-country trip in 2010. It was such a great trip and our day spent at the park is such a fun memory! I took a ton of photos there but most weren't the best. :) Luckily this sketch lets me keep them small! Here is my layout:
My 28 Days of Sketches class is winding down and I'm happy I ended up with 16 layouts done! I still have half the sketches to work with when I'm ready for some more scrapping- who knows when that will be lol! I'm back making cards now! :)
Well, thanks for letting me share this fun layout with you! Hope you enjoy your day!

I have used the heck out of this line- it's Seen and Noted by Pebbles, Inc. I used scraps from my 6x6 pad for all the little squares. The colors are really fun! I had some older left over aqua Thickers that I used for my title and I embellished with a little washi tape and enamel dots.
I decided to go with some computer journaling this time. My handwriting was really bugging me on the day I made it! Does that ever happen to you? I usually like to hand journal but not on this day!
