Delicate Doilies Thank You- Anyone want to swap?

Good Morning!

Last Saturday I held my first event as a business demo! I had a kickoff party at my house to introduce all my friends to the new catalog and some of my new classes. I've never held an event like this so I didn't really know what to expect but lots of my friends showed up, ate snacks, talked about the catalog, and participated in my make-n-take. I had a great time and I think everyone else did, too! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it!

For the make-n-take, I used the pretty new Delicate Doilies set. Here it is:

I wanted them to be detailed but simple for people to do. Everyone's turned out great so I think I succeeded!


I'm not going to convention this year. I went last year and had a great time! One of my favorite parts was swapping cards with everyone I met! Since I've got some extra cut from my party I thought I'd ask if anyone would like to swap through snail mail instead? I'll send you a card and you can send one of yours to me! Sponged Thank You Card

Good Morning!
Today I have another Thank You card to share- this one features the Just Believe set. I think this is the prettiest set out of the entire catalog... I just love it! Unfortunately, I always lose my mojo the minute it gets pulled out! So this time, I searched the Stampin' Up! galleries at Splitcoast for a little inspiration. What I found was this card by Amy that inspired me to make this:

Ink: Versamark; Poppy Parade, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black cardstock; First Edition DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge punch, Pear Pizazz seam binding, Black embossing powder

I loved how the image just popped using the black. I rarely use black but it is so elegant, don't you agree? Thanks Amy for the inspiration!

For the seam binding, I crinkled it up using just a bit of water in my hand and scrunching it for a second. It stays all crinkly like that when it's dry! So cool! It's another product that I'm hoping will be in the next SU! catty!

A Sympathy Card

A friend called and asked me to make a sympathy card for her. I don't know the person it's going to but I wanted to create a pretty and soothing card for them. I automatically thought of the Just Believe set and the watercolor technique that was used in the SU! convention make and takes. Here is what I came up with:
