Tombow + Waffle Flower Blog Hop

Hello!  Today I'm part of the fun Tombow + Waffle Flower Blog Hop!  Nina is the best at partnering up with other great companies and I was so excited when she mentioned Tombow- who doesn't love their products? :)  I know I already have quite a few of their awesome adhesives in my stash- they have been my go-to for so long!

What I hadn't played with before were their awesome Dual Brush Pens.  They are water based markers and were really fun to play with!  I paired them with Waffle Flower's Rain Check Stamp Set and Partly Cloudy Die Set:

The pens are bright and cheery colors.  I decided to do a watercolor technique with them and pulled out some watercolor paper.  I diecut a journaling card shape along with the sun and clouds from watercolor paper.  I colored around the edges with the markers and then moved the color into the center with a water brush.  So easy and so pretty!

Once my watercoloring was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Rain Check Stamp Set. I also used the Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue to line my clouds with some fun glitter.  Once they were dry, I used some Tombow Mono Adhesive and Foam Tape to adhere it all down to my card front.

Of course with every fun blog hop there is a giveaway!  Here is more information on ours:

A Succulent Mini Canvas

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing a mini canvas I made for Waffle Flower Crafts' Watch It Wednesday Series.  It is so tiny!  Only 2x4 inches :)  I added magnets to the back so I could hang it on my fridge.

The tiny size was so fun to create on!  The tall succulent stamp from the Planted Stamp Set fit perfectly!  I used all sorts of fun supplies for this one!  It has lots of layers and different textures going on.  Here is a look at the details:

I created a video as I went to document the step-by-step process as well:

I am really enjoying the mixed media projects this month! It's always fun to try something different, right? :)

Little Miss Mia Thank You Cards for SRM

Hello!  I'm sharing a couple of cards on the SRM Sticker blog today and thought I'd share here too!  I created two cards using the adorable Little Miss Mia stamp set.  I personalized each one to look like my daughters.  I thought they would make cute teacher thank yous at the end of the year!

This first one features Mia with red hair, just like my little girl Natalie:

She was colored with Copic markers and then cut out.  The papers are from the Star Student collection by Bella Blvd.  The large Thanks sentiment from the We've Got Your Sticker- Thanks sheet is perfect on this one!  I love how it looks at the bottom of the panel.  I also added a bit of Midnight Blue Baker's Twine as a little accent.

The second card features Mia with brown hair and freckles, just like my daughter Zoey:

I stamped her onto a white cardstock panel and colored her with Copic markers.  I used foam adhesive tape to adhere it to the center of my card front.  The papers on this one are also from Bella Blvd's Star Student collection.  The sentiment is from the We've Got Your Sticker- Thanks sheet.

I have had so much fun playing with the Little Miss Mia stamp set!  I love how you can personalize it any way you want :)

Thanks for joining me today!

Waffle Flower and Faber-Castell Inspiration Week and a Challenge Card

Good morning!  How was your weekend?  We packed so many things into our weekend that I am actually relieved it's Monday!  Lol!  Even with work and school, the routine will be nice.  If your kids play sports, you probably feel the same way!

Today's being Monday is fun anyways because I am sharing a mixed media project for the Waffle Flower and FAber-Castell Inspiration Week!  Here is a sneak peek- the full project is on the Waffle Flower Blog today:

The piece is a 6x12" canvas with lots of layering and color!  It was fun doing something different than my normal cards :)

Speaking of normal cards, I am also playing along with the new Waffle Flower Challenge!  It's also on the Waffle Flower Blog today :) Here is the inspiration photo:

And here is the card I made:

I loved the colors in the photograph and of course the daisies!  I've been so inspired by the Bloom Stamp Set and Dies lately!  I used the Summer Blend Ink Pad's #14-Sunshine for the centers.  I also incorporated a doily with the Doily Circle Die.  The sentiment was stamped on vellum to create a soft layer over the top of all that color!

The daisies are so addicting to stamp and cut out!  lol!  There were a lot of them on today's projects- weren't there? :)  They are such a happy flower!

I hope you'll have time to play along with us this time!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower Blog to check out more inspiration from our awesome design team!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your Monday is off to a great start!

Love You Mush!

This week's Lawnscaping Challenge is to use watercolor :)  It's one of my favorites so I thought I'd play along using the adorable Gleeful Garden set:

I started with a panel of watercolor paper and used a sponge to add some light green and blue inks to the background.  I splattered it with watercolor and used a paper towel to soak it up.  Next I stamped out the grasses and the snail.  I painted over the inside of the images with water and soaked it up too!  This erased the background color so I was able to use lighter colors without having the green mixed in to the little snail.

I stamped the mushrooms onto a scrap of watercolor paper and cut them out.  I watercolored them in and when they were dry, I added them to the panel with foam adhesive.  I added the sentiment, a strip of patterned paper by Bella Blvd. and some twine to the panel.  Then I added it to a blue card front using foam adhesive for dimension.

This stamp set is so cute!!  I'm glad I finally got to pull it out to play!

Here is the challenge graphic- if you have time, you should play along, too! :)

Thanks for popping by today!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Thank You Card for Waffle Flower Crafts

Hello!

I've been stocking up on Thank You cards lately- I never seem to have enough!  I paired the 100% Love Stamp Set with the Doily Circle Die for this one:

This one ended up bright and collagy, didn't it?  I started with a white card base and splattered it with gray mist.  Once it was dry I added a strip of striped pink patterned paper to the top on a slight diagonal.  I diecut the Doily Circle Die out of yellow cardstock and cut it in half.  I added it just below the pink strip.  Next, I stamped the Thank You with #13 Malibu from the Summer Blend Inkpad and cut it out.  I added it to the left side using dimensional foam tape to make it pop.

The embellishments are from Freckled Fawn and the sticker stitches are by SRM Stickers.  The bright colors are so fun on this one, aren't they?  I love how it all came together :)
